THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
It's been more than a decade since I've last seen something Beyblade related, but this one feels exactly the same like the very first one. I guess the characters look more ridiculous now and less racist. Interesting to see them throw you right into the tournament, rather than slowly building up to it.

I love the new animation compared to Metal Fight/Fusion, it looks way better, and it's animated by OLM who did Buddyfight and Youkai Watch among others. Looks to be that they may handle the battles more realistically than Metal Fight did, and I thought the white haired guy Shuu would be a rival but Baruto seems to look up to him more. No subs yet so I didn't really understand much of what was going on.

So far the current MC is the weakest I saw in Beyblade anime
"I lost all of what you could call feelings of love. They weren't sealed, so they can't be released. They weren't broken, so they can't be fixed. That which is lost, cannot be recovered." Shiba Tatsuya
"There are no regrets. If one can be proud of one's life, one should not wish for another chance." Saber
"No matter what happens, no matter how crazy things get, I'll always try to restore balance." Korra
"It's madness to let others take what's yours and accept it blindly." Baatar Jr
"Instinct is a lie, told by a fearful body, hoping to be wrong." Zaheer
"Partner in crime, partner in time" Chloe Price and Max Caulfield

this is only the first ep of the new series but i already like it way more than metal fight series , not to mention i like how the mc is really weak and not op like every other series (though sure will change soon lol)

but yeah looks like in this they put alot more effort in making this one the animation and battles looks amazing and another surprise is that this is actually full length eps so thats also a plus

only thing now is i hope who ever subbed this keeps subbing

Metal Fight Beyblade I didn't even watched, so I cannot comment on that.

I did watch the original series though, with dubbed (Dutch) animations and I can remember the time I was even liking this more then Pokemon back then.

So yeah that gave me a good reason to start, certainly because it's subbed instead of dubbed. Which is way better ever/on everything.

This first episode came with a great intro and outro song, so that made me like it already. Then the characters where really quite nice (I am a shota lover so xD). And then the way it reminds me of the earlier days, where you could see the monsters.

I do not really like the main character though, he's to hot headed, when I was a child I did like Tyson being it. But now, I like a calmer more secretive type, and that is the other character that clearly is a big one. Also I do find some characters looking like old ones.

It went to fast though, a huge open gap in how he got to be better I do really missed in this episode. And also I did find the announcher (or however I need to write it in English) annoying as hell. Also I did not like the part where it's sort of commercial and then it's letting you see the part before it again...

But overal, I am interested, even if it doesn't seem so with this comment, but I am will be watchin the next one.

I'm just waiting for a dub to be announced in the future. Beyblade is nostalgia rewind when watching in dubs.

Not bad for the first episode tbh
The MC is easily over 9000 times better than Ginga that squeaky bastard.
OLM did a good job with the art and animation ^_^
So far pretty promising.

Is this based on a different story? because I've only watched the first season of Beyblade as a child. I didn't get to see the following events. So is it ok for me to start watching it?

It's a new series, kind of like Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal and Arc-V set in a new universe with new characters.

It's been a while since I've watched Beyblade. The last series was Metal Fight Beyblade.

Anyway, the main character is really nice. He starts out weak but very passionate about Beyblade, not overpowered like Ginga for example. Good to see his passion about Beyblade and the will to improve. Also really like the animation so far.

Don't even think I ever finished the original Beyblade. Willing to give this a go to see how it is.

Not too bad. A good start. MC is a total newb, but it does what he loves, and he gets a win off.

A typical sporty shounen show, and very "beyblade-ish" with the spirits of the toys appearing in image during the battle.

I can deal! Next is puppet dude's dog.
