DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Great soundtrack for this show, obviously as the same composer who worked on Haikyu. I think the OP song is good too in terms of the choreography and way it was decorated. Deku's voice seems okay, not too fond of it but still decent. Action is fairly well done with the whole heroes stuff, definitely reminds me of the manga style. Glad to see some of the main characters introduced in class in particular Bakugou. The guy is pretty damn awesome! Good start for the show and little Deku is adorable with his action figure lol. And All Might is cool as expected.  |

Bakugou's an asshole though :/ Lol, Midoriya lacks superpowers! Those faces he made as a child... must of been shocking XD. Ha, All Might made a nice entrance! Lol at Miyoriya clinging on to All Might. At least this MC has ambitions :D This episode adapted two thirds of the first chapter, which is similar to two average chapters in length. | Didn't even adapt the full first chapter...With this pacing and 13 episodes, I don't really know how far they plan to get into the series. Some scenes were definitely dragged out for no reason, they could've easily fit in the whole first chapter if they didn't include the OP/ED. It was adapted fine though, even though I thought the animation was pretty underwhelming, especially for a Bones show. |

| Okay, the OP is catchy and it's quickly growing on me lol. They managed to include lots of characters without really spoiling too much in the OP. Based on the pacing, looks like they're not going to rush this which is great news though I actually expected them to end the ep with the whole chapter 1 instead of just 2/3 of it. They'll probably cover up until USJ with some anime-originals in-between or at the end of the season. I'm not really worried about Bones anime-originals based on their recent adaptations. | I haven't read the manga but I don't see the problem of a slower pace. This means less content will be adapted and that ultimately leads to a faster second season. Personally I rather have more drawn out scenes than a rushed adaptation that skips over charming and nice details. |

It's nice, I'm not crazy about it, but it'll probably grow on me. Also, as others have pointed out, the first chapter is long. |

That was AWESOME, I love how Bones did this. Seeing BnHA animated was magnificent :D The OST is simply fantastic, The different soundtracks they used for the scenes was really wonderful. Really added so much impact to each scene. The introduction stills were great and they made a lot of scenes much funnier than it was in the manga. Deku's reactions when watching that All Might Video as a kid were just Gold XD Felt pretty sad during the part where his mother apologized to him and Deku cired ;.; (No matter how many times I see/read it, It's still sad :( ) The voice acting is superb, I love Deku's voice and it really suits the way he talks and mutters to himself along with his monologues. Bakugou's Seiyuu is the MVP though, Completely nailed his explosive personality. From what I see here I'm guessing the 2nd episode will end with the first chapter so I guess they may not get very far into the series at the end of this cour. Looking forward to BnHA greatness each week <3 |

First episode was pretty decent, art and animation was solid throughout the episode, the OP and ED were pretty good as well, not fully in love with them, but I'm sure I'll start to enjoy them more after some time. As a manga fan I'm really excited about this, looking forward to next weeks episode. (Hopefully funi's stream is less shit next week, couldn't stand the crashing, thankgod i switched to the apps) |

| WOW this is a great start to the show. Great OP & ED song. The visuals in the OP are great & looking forward to seeing the rest of the students. Really liking the art & animation. The background is so colourful & the character designs are great. Poor Deku all he wants to do is be a hero. Bakugou is suck a dick to Deku. All Might & that "TEXAS SMASH" on that slime villain was freaking awesome. Lol he put him in a bottle. Looking forward to seeing more. |

| Excellent first episode. Lovin' the art, music, voice work, everything. It's a very thorough adaptation, not even adapting the entire first chapter. But I think that was a good thing, showing great care with the source material. Still, with only 13 episodes and this pacing they won't make it very far into the story. If I had to guess... |

| I've been waiting for this for so long. It might be the most regular shonen in existence, but there's something in BnHA that keeps pulling me back, and the debut of the anime is no exception. BONES did an amazing job bringing Horikoshi's style into life, and the segment about young Deku was directed super well. The only thing bothering me to no end right now is that it will be only 13 episodes. |
| Ahhh the hype is real. I'm glad this adaptation, by far at least, follows the original material. The animation also looks great. Yamashita is a perfect fit for Izukus role; exactly what I imagined him to sound like. |

| Great. They adapted the first chapter with out skipping almost nothing and the animation style and character designs are really good. The OP, ED and Soundtrack songs with their animation are awesome. I'm definitely gonna wait for the full versions/Music Videos. It's just Deku's VA isn't good but not terrible either. Anyway, I can't to see the other character and for the next week's episode! |

| This is a solid first episode! Pacing is actually at a pace that I enjoy since it lets you digest everything that's happening. OP and ED are amazing! This is gonna be a great adaption from bones. |
| Wow it's been a while since I read the manga... I think that I read chapter 1 when it first came out and was translated. Ever since then I more or less read it from time to time. It's a really good story and it's good to see that it is getting a good adaptation. Still it's not like I mind as there will be next season and the season after that and so on, as the manga is popular enough and now it will get even more popular, but with this pacing we won't get too far in those 13 episodes and because, while it might not seem like it right now, the story is the shounen long running series, we really won't see much. Because of that I can't get too excited about the series but I guess that when the anime reaches it's the end, I will hop back on manga as I have 20 chapters leftovers. Right by not getting too excited I mean that I doubt that this series can be best of the season/year (which some good fans of the manga will try to say), it will still be great series though. As for first episode... ah poor Deku, the feels were strong. I remember that when manga came out, everyone were relating him to Rock lee from naruto. Nowadays it might be Licenseless Raider. :) |

| So far I'm liking the adaptation, I'm just curious as to how much they'll actually adapt in just 13 episodes. Well I can worry about that later, this was a pretty solid start. I'm really liking the soundtrack and the characters' voices fit them well. Not to mention the animation looks nice. I can't wait to see the other characters and to see how the rest of the season plays out! |

| The art & soundtrack were great but the animation could have been better. And just like everyone else wrote - thepacing should have been faster - like episodes 1&2 could have been just episode 1. Oh well, with this pacing the entrance exam will be taken in episode 5-6, which means we definitely won't get to the big tournament :( |

| The first episode was a good adaption and it is great to hear Porno Graffitti again :D Can't wait for the next one. They could do more than 13 episodes (26 episodes would cover the first arcs nicely), but I curious to know how much they adapt and if a second season will follow. |

| This was a fantastic first episode of Boku no Hero Academia. I've only read the first chapter of the manga ages ago but I remember these events quite well, so seeing it animated was a great refresher, I loved the beginning where they showed various heroes and their different quirks. The Kamui Wood man sequence was really cool. The OST that played was so hype! To think it's the same composer as Haikyuu's OST; I loved that too. <3 Mt. Lady's appearance was hilarious with all the cameramen taking pictures of her while saying 'here it is'. "A pleasure to make your ass-quaintance" LOL! Seeing the young Deku as a kid being so enthusiastic about being a hero and waiting to get his quirk then suddenly finding out that he is a rarity where he's actually quirkless was really sad. Not gonna lie, I almost got teary-eyed when Deku was asking his mother if he can still be a hero even though he's quirkless and he was in tears. All Might came to save the day and Deku completely fanboy'd out haha His facial expressions while he was in the air were hilarious. The ED is pretty good I really like the visuals but I really like the OP by Porno Graffitti It's been a while since I heard their songs, used to love listening to their Bleach OPs and Magi OP. Overall, loved this first episode. Fans of superheroes in particular will enjoy this anime. 5/5 |
