Attack on Titan was almost able to make it onto both lists. I'm not surprised that anime with high member counts would also have have drop counts.

Erased started off well and had mostly consistent early episodes but started getting worse halfway through. So most people who would've dropped it kept going till the end. If only the
happened sooner like in ep 5/6 it would really be much higher or at least that's what I think.

The least dropped list by percentage confirms that mal has somewhat good taste.

My guess was on hitmanreborn because people often watch the first episodes and assume it's gon be like that the whole series. (even though the filler of hitman was decent)

Erased is at the top? Over SG huh.
So cheap cliffhangers work really well as it seems.
Not really important though.

Well, it's new so it can change in the future.

Hey cliffhangers have been happening between chapters in literature for hundreds of years, nothing cheap about a cliffhanger.

Hunter x hunter is impressive.. 148 episodes and still so few people have dropped it.. (Y) guess i'll have to watch it now :3
Well, it pretty awesome tbh, the fight has proper tatic, exposition and doesn't rely on nakama power.

You should create a new account with the exact same name, but post nude tits all over your sig. Then claim that it was somebody else.
What Kabaneri Did Wrong:
- Edgelord protagonist

Why you wondering. Death note didn't have a very promising plot to begin with. Only been interesting from episode 4-15

And the drop percentage is actually low despite that

death note plot is not promising?
the premise is one of the most interesting i have ever seen in anime and the mind games between l and light are intense since episode 2

Dude! seriously?
NGNL & Charlotte premise must be more interesting, yea yea.
LOOOL

OT: Its obvious its going to be long running shows that never end, like Detective Conan for example.

I'm not surprised to see Detective Conan on there 813 episodes 20 movies, 12 OVAs 6 specials, a spin off series, two OTHER movies, Conan V Lupin III and a few more.
Oh... and it's still on-going lolol

It's a huge mountain to climb and a lot of people don't have that dedication.

I know, but Erased had cliffhangers which lost the intenseness in the first minute of the next episode. Yashiro and Kenya cliffhanger was cheap, as example. That's what I meant with "cheap cliffhangers".

half of the cliffhangers in the show are trolling that are imediately followed by nothing important happening in the next episode

Honestly I'm not surprised Erased is the least dropped, even the people who weren't fans of it (me included) were compelled to finish it for the sake of completionistism

It has one of the most memorable first episodes... lol

I can pretty much recite the entire first episode line by line.

Also Death Note was one of the first if not first genuine anime I've watched and it's still in my top 5 easy.
Rewatched it 6 times and still hasn't lost it's charm.

On topic though:
It's not a surprise seeing the most popular shows having the largest dropped numbers.
Also with the Highest % list having more obscure / less popular shows. (Not unkown though)

Won't work. When you get banned, your account itself is not the only thing that will get banned. Every single internet connection you are connected to gets a full ban till you aren't connected to that internet anymore. Making it impossible for other people who want to connect to MAL to log on.

Give it time and some of the more newer series like erased will have plenty of drops.
Although since it's a shorter series it probably wont be much.

Meh, MAL is made of pure salt. That is not surprising, as we, the forum users, are the ones who fill the inside of the website with our salt and bitching.

that's why I dropped it. I liked it but sae no reason to continue beyond that point. So happy to see KLK on that list, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

I'm quite surprise to see %dropped of Detective Conan. I know it's very long running show but still it is very informative as well as entertaining show. It was one my first anime and i watched it twice since then, though only main episodes at second time. Bleach should be at first. My friend told me to drop that sh!t but back then i didn't like to drop a show so watch that horror and now its feel like i wasted too much time. Since then i started to drop anime.

ofc the big 3 is going to be dropped more often
too much filler, too many episodes.
totes expected SAO to be somewhere up there, DRRR s1 doesn't deserve to be up there though (assuming that's not the conglomerate drop rate for the first and second seasons combined, the latter which i know more people dropped not that i necessarily blame them, S1 >>>>>> S2), nor does Hyouka.

i can feel the detritus lifting.

Interesting to see Bakemonogatari on most dropped though, but the show is def not for everyone with all the talking and slow pace.

Actually I was surprised when I calculated the filler EP's of Bleach. And I thought to myself if I "completed" Bleach, without watching the filler, is it really worth putting it in my list, as complete. Or, if I did watch all of it, is it really worth the wait.
Either way, that is also what comes to my mind when I saw Bleach filler EP's. I'm also not quite surprised to see Detective Conan in the list.

Holy crap, how good is Hunter x Hunter (2011)? 148 episodes and "no one" drops that shit? God damn...
1 hour = 10,000 yen.
2 hours = 20,000 yen.
3 hours = 3 loaves of French bread.
4 hours = 4 loaves of French bread.

Tempted to add HxH to ptw, tho I don't watch long series anymore...
Glad I finished so many on the top % drop list, some hidden 'gems'. Like LanceMaques, Captain Earth, Chaos Dragon, G Reco.
Interesting to see the most extreme drops are 1/4 watchers at only 2-3 episodes in. and at 6 episodes for 2-cours. People roughly follow 3 episode rule (per cour).
Glasslip only 16% drop, maybe I should continue watching...

Though, not all long running anime is "bad".

Nice to see Hunter x Hunter on the least dropped <3

Romeo no Aoi Sora is the least dropped and that makes me happy it truly was an amazing series I was hooked. Then again it only had 11,000 viewers so it would fall under the under appreciated and underrated category. And unpopular anime with a high score. xD

Possibly, but another factor is that it's not completely available. I only see English-dubbed files through episode 104. The same goes for several others like Shin-chan, Doraemon, and Kirarin Revolution, which aren't fully subbed or dubbed in English and are unlikely to ever be.
