I thought for sure there wouldn't be a second season with the low sales for this... but man am I glad I was wrong. This was my favourite anime of Winter season, so I can't wait for the continuation. Way to go DEEN!

God bless. Favourite show of this season maybe even of the year but that's way too early to say for now.

I haven't really enjoyed the last few episodes (Miyokichi has this great habit of ruining everything), but this could be good news. I haven't decided yet. However, I have heard there's much more to the story than what season 1 has covered!

I don't expect this anime will have a second season because it's pretty underrated for me.Maybe because people too much focus on Boku dake ga Inai Machi.

Sakamoto picture sure is unexpected but considering it will be a DEEN anime on this spring season, it actually make sense for them to make that lol.

KonoSuba is a terrible adaptation according to those who read the light novel so it is like Higurashi case if we are to follow those who played the VN interest.

DEEN has the same problem as Pierrot and A1. Most of their lately productions have quite low animation quality. That's why the hate.

Plus yes, people can't forgive them for FSN, Pupa and Umineko. But they have enough good shows. And this one same as Sankarea and Rozen Maiden 3 was made by a former Shaft director currently working for DEEN. This mix gave a really good result.

THIS IS A DREAM COMING TRUE. THANK YOU BASED DEEN ILY

(I was crossing my fingers during S1 for this to get another season bc in summer the manga is ending and my prayers have been answered ;_;).

YEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!

I was so worried that the sales weren't enough to get a second season.

How many manga volumes are there and how many did the first season cover?

There are currently 9 volumes out and the last one will be the 10th coming out this summer.
First season covered till half way volume 5.

So hopefully, that means the whole story will be animated. I'm super excited now :D

Yesss. Season 2 of gundam and now season 2 of shouwa. I'm so happy \o/

And about DEEN, I don't have a problem with them.
They did Pupa, but so what? They also did ruruoni kenshin, getbackers, Nurarihyon no Mago and another animes that honestly are pretty interesting.

That's because the original material was bad, even magical warfare had good music and visuals so it's not madhouse's fault.

Yeah I guess Madhouse and Magical Warfare aren't the best example. But the point I was trying to get across still stands. That being that Studio DEEN and other studio's that have been hate bandwagons (J.C.STAFF, Pierrot etc.) are not the only ones who make bad shows. Almost every studio's made a bad show.

Not that the studio really matters in the first place though.

The issue here is that studios tend to be evaluated by their more recent works. And while they made many classics, at some point they started to create bad shows more often than good ones, which is why so many are distrustful (it doesn't help that their good reputation got them some strong titles which then they screwed up).
Thankfully, they seem to be returning to good 'ol days.

All adaptations are terrible according to those who read the source materials.

Just on a side note, Why does everyone hate DEEN so much?

People who are salty about their fate adaptation or hold the fact they made Pupa against them

Not only that most of the hate of Deen after the Fate/Hate is because of Umineko no Naku Koro ni which was considered to be one of the best VN but got butchered much worse than Fate/Stay Night.

Also Log Horizon S2 recently

Edit: Also Higurashi got mixed views(I personally enjoyed it but I understand the big hate of the adaptation)

Jizzy as you would call yourself because youre a dick The most butthurt award goes to you And clearly you havent watched that many shows thats why you cant determine if a show is unique or not Or maybe you're just a child who likes common stuffs where hero saves the day and guys gets all the girls. Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

I was pleasantly surprised when I finished what I thought would be the last of animated Rakugo only to discover that there would be more. This has me thrilled and excited already. Looking forward to what will hopefully be a second season as fantastic as the first!

Not to sure what to think of this I guess it's good for the fans of the anime but I found it BORING AS HELL. I tried watching one episode and found myself taking a nap during the first few minutes, that was definitely a sign the anime wasn't for me so I dropped it but that doesn't mean the anime is bad it's just wasn't my cup of tea.

Oh and I'm glad Studio Deem is doing so well and giving the new anime sequels but I wish they would remember about Hakkenden and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi. If I'm not mistaken they both sold pretty well when the DVD's came out so they both deserve another season to ~_~

This is good news, indeed!

My only worry is that s1 wrapped up the story of Kiku-Sukeroku's relationship quite neatly already; will s2 have sufficient interesting material to animate or will it lose steam?
