Loved the way he fearlessly fights against what's in front of him. Glad to see Yume and the others coming to his aid though. I really like how Ranta and Haru fights side by side like bros. Glad to see the party survived in that rough fight, took longer than I had expected. Action was decent in the finale, seems like the show been keeping its momentum on that. So yeah, the show is over but I was satisfied with it. Not sure what to rate this yet but the artwork with the world fiction was quite an interesting watch. Lol Mary's so cute when she laughs  |

| Literally this was the WORST light novel adaptation I've seen since Mahou Sensou. A-1 never stops to amaze me--- From the insane changes in the character designs, to the tens of skipped scenes and the hundreds altered ones, including the most symbolic and important ones... Oh and not to forget the increase of fanservice and ass-shots, 'cuz they so important. I had such hopes for this considering I am big fan of the light novels, but oh well... what can you do... Now I should start praying for complete remake from another studio and to never get a 2nd season by A-1. Only thing I will prize are the backgrounds/landscapes. They were insanely beautiful, nothing like the cheaply drawn characters that didn't do them justice. As for the last episode itself. It gave a nice (sort of) conclusion to the TV, and more chara-dev for Mary (sorry, no Mary), and the romance remarks were welcome too. |
| I'm glad that nobody died in the mine, I was seriously nervous about Ranta not surviving The artwork, especially the backgrounds and landscapes, was really breathtaking and continually amazed me each episode. I personally liked the insert songs because they added a nice touch to certain scenes. I really want a season 2 This is a definite 10/10 for me and I'm still a supporter of the Haruhiro x Mary ship |

| Great end to a great anime. Plot wise it didn't move much and there's a lot questions felt unanswered. But the amount of character development that is present in this anime is fantastic. 5/5 for this episode 8/10 for this series. |

| That's one pretty smart tactic, considering it come from Ranta to hide between worm-pig creature to conceal himself. And so they came back to save Ranta.  Mary won't leave Haruhiro because her promise to not leave her comrade anymore.And Haruhiro just taste the effect of adrenaline.And he never forget to blabbering about Manato even for the final episode |

| Okay ending but I didn't like it as much as I hoped. The art was a strong factor on my motivation to watch it each week. Not sure if I'd see a sequel .. 6/10 |

| This anime is finally over. It was episode 4 that made me realize it was the best this season and over time i knew it would become one of my favorites. This anime is simply beautiful. There is the gorgeous animation, the amazing music and insert songs, the perfect well crafted dialogue, spot on character development. This show had it all. Im sad to see this go. I was really hoping the episode title would hint at another season considering all the split cours A1 has been doing but i guess not. I still hope for another season in the future. This has been a fun ride and i can easily give it a 10/10 |

| Nice ending, and thankfully Ranta actually got out alive. Haruhiro also established himself as a leader once more who the others can really count on. Show felt off at times, but the dynamics on the character development (especially with Haruhiro and Mary) were decent. 7/10 |

| That was not the best ending, it felt off for me. The fight with death spots cannot even be called one, what was that? Have to lower the score to 7/10, unfortunate ending to a very good series. Looked conclusive to me as well. |
| nice episode There was a slip up in animation when Ranta appears with the helmet all of the sudden. But it was good series Sadly judging from all that they cut out of the LN a second season seems unlikely |
| Pretty solid way to end what has been a surprisingly excellent series from start to finish. I could watch dozens more episodes with these characters, especially because of the developing strengths and relationships of the characters (particularly the Mary x Haru ship). Only complain: too many insert songs! But that's only a minor issue. 9/10 |

| The Death of Death Spots, Haruhiro became MVP, finally. ...to think that those people used to had a really difficult time just to kill one, poor goblin. This episode is really satisfying to see. even though Haruhiro was still thinking about Manato in this freaking last episode, please, stop already Does Ranta's demon actually do anything helpful? It's just like a pet which isn't mature yet. ...there was also an animation error: Ranta suddenly wore his helmet again and then it was disappeared again at the next scene. My AOTS this season. I'm gonna miss this, I hope there would be 2nd season, which I doubt there would be any. |

| Well...damn, they actually managed to all make it out alive, awesome! Figured one was a goner for sure, woulda bet on Moguzo as he seemed most expendable, but glad that didn't happen. A testament to how much they've grown I suppose. As I said a few episodes back Manato'd be proud. Anyway a very good series, and unexpectedly so. You don't usually get to see this level of hardship focused on for this long from shows of this type, but watching this play out as it did I grew attached to the characters. I felt their emotions, their highs and lows, and somehow never lost interest. As I also said awhile back I'd watch 50 episodes of this, or a hundred! Definitely one of the top shows of the winter season, 8/10. :) |

| What's with that end? Pretending that the anime was good. Psh. Ep was good, tho. Best ep of all of it. Haruhiro was BA. Action scene were nice. Hal x Mary 2k16. Also, I HEARD NAMIKAWA DAISUKE SAY 'AUSTRALIA'. SOMEONE HOLD ME BACK, I'M GONNA HETALIA. This ep is pretty much what saved me from giving the animu a super low score. 5/10. |

| Since i read the LN this episode too dissapontment for me they reduce the Lord Ranta epic struggling survival fights and we don't have his naked girls motivation thought and not to mention the new technique he supposed to developed. the good things is Yume x Ranta bait and is one of few good things |

| Honestly, felt their escape and the fight against Death Spots were really anti climactic, but those are my only complaints. Like, the fight lacked a sort of "oomph" to it, especially since it was over in an instant. Couldn't really feel like it was a life-or-death battle due to that Overall, I really enjoyed this. Prolly gonna give it a 7 or 8. If there's no announcement for a second season, then I'll definitely start to read the LN. | such a perfect ending, i teared up honestly. what i had projected at the start of winter turned out to be right: hai to gensou no grimgar was one of the top anime this season. everything in the finale was superb from animation to score and haruhiros fight against death spots was just as gripping as in the ln. the aftermath and character interactions were perfect too and i couldnt get over how nostalgic and bittersweet harus narration at the end was.10/10 for what is imo an incredibly memorable show that stands out from the rest of isekai anime. REALLY SAD THAT ITS OVER TBH A-1 S2 WHEN? |

| A beautiful end to a beautiful show. I quite like how everything went full circle and they finally found a measure of peace in Grimgar. I also like the way they took the time to develop the characters. Those of you complaining about the pacing, stick to your Rakudai/Asterisk/Bahamut. |
| Great ep. One of my favs of the series for sure. Zodiaco's voice is cute. I swear I've heard that voice before. Can't remember where :/ Ranta wanting to fondle Yume lol and Dat Yume smug smirk at tsundere Ranta were so much fun to see. I guess this really is the ship now. Ofc Obligatory Yume ass shot <3 Haru vs Death Spot was actually awesome. Haru going Shiki on that ass with slow motion was BA asf. And 30 gold. DAMN! The HaruxMary scene when Haru woke up was really cute. Definitely a "Now Kiss" moment XD Still can't choose between Mary and Yume altho the speed I fell for Mary was insane, she's so <3 Yume's fanservice and her accent keep her on that level tho Dat Barbara tho :L 8.5/10 and hope for S2 |

| Just want to point out regarding S2, i think it most likely will happen the title of episode 12 is "see you tomorrow" i think that imply for S2 definitely will happen. if A-1 not planning to continue Grimgar anymore they should changed the episode title to different ones. |

| I was seriously expecting someone to die from their party, but it looks like I was wrong. I feel like the fight against the Death Spot could have been more intense though. Even though I didn't really like this anime too much, it was definitely one of the most peaceful shows I've watched (well, when they weren't killing goblins lol). I think the way this ended was nice too, and the background art was really pretty to look at. Other than those things, I liked the OP, but I couldn't really get myself into this anime because the pacing was just a little too slow for my liking. If we get to see more in a second season, maybe I can forgive this season's slow pacing. 5/10 |

| Once again I would like to complain about how the fight and kill of death spot was done differently. If someone wants to read my inner LN reader hate here it is. Now I forget about LN and look at the last episode. It was a good last episode that gives conclusion to everything but ... the main mystery of how did the characters ended up in this world and will they ever return to their original world... still it's not like the problem was avoided but it was mentioned in Haruhiro's monologue. Then I am not sure in which moments but some tears appeared as well... right when Mary was crying in Haruhiro's hazy view. That was a good scene. Then once again Manato! THis anime simply doesn't let him rest peacefully does it but the sentimental value is there was well. The main thing to complain about is that death spot kill after all... adaptation or not, Haruhiro shouldn't suddenly get such power boost out of nowhere, he isn't typical overpowered MC of the LN LRPG series after all. All and all though it was good first episode and as for the series as a whole, ever since I decided to treat it as separate anime and not adaptation I enjoyed watching it a lot and it was one of few series this season that I was watching immediately after seeing new episode coming out. (In the end though as much as I want to ignore the existence of LN, I definitely will not ever forgive that Mary design!!!) It was bad adaptation but good anime to watch in the season. I doubt that in the future it will be something to return to or recommend to others... in the end it will be forgotten... unless second season. |
| Death spots fight was a little disappointing with how it ending. I liked this anime for what it was worth. probably a 7/10 for now. Also lets see if Hal can ever get rid of his Manato obsession. |

| So he killed Death Spots?! I didn't expect him to be killed off so soon but it was the last episode so nonetheless. Great action again. Teamwork was solid too! Not sure if it gets a 2nd season but amongst other winter anime, this one was a calm one (which I liked it for). |

| Not bad finale, last fight handled a bit better in the LN but this wasn't too bad. Thankfully Mary made up for any sup par scene this week. Plus Renji at the end threw me off there. Oh and wtf was with Ranta's familiars voice? I was expecting more of a Nakata Jouji. Overall it's a shame that this series was bogged down by worthless sol scenes with as many insert songs they had and way too much Manato, plus the artwork when it came to the goblins and Kobolds...well character design in general. |

| I thought this was a rather strong finish. The last two episodes of this show have made up for the punch lacking in the rest of the season. I can't believe they managed to make a continuity error with Ranta's helmet though. It was so obvious. I liked how the fight scene with Deadspot was done, gave a surreal feeling. And I'm really pleased with the Mary x Haru I got. That scene when Haru woke, and when Mary put the chain over his head <3 By the way I think I need an explanation for what the two tags on the volunteer soldier chain means. What's the significance of him removing one? I remember Mary's old teammates did the same. For novel readers, has there been any explanation yet about life before Grimgar and how they got there? That's one thing that I really want to find out. |

| I surprised myself - I actually wanted to Ranta to live! This series was a weird one for me - I started by not really liking it, and came out the other end really glad I watched it. I'm somewhat attached to most of the characters (not Shihoru, because I don't really feel like we 'know' her), and would probably watch S2 if it happens. |
