Haikyuu!! was the show that originally got me into anime, and the second season was just as great as the first one!

Felt bad for Aoba Johsai - they would've definitely deserved the victory just as well as Karasuno, but I can't say I wasn't happy to see Karasuno win - they have also worked so hard, and each member of the team has gone through so much development! So excited to see their game against Shiratorizawa!!

Now we'll just have to wait for the third season!!

Damn you Haikyuu making me feel bad for every team that loses :(

Another great ending but this time things are a little bit different, so happy to see the guys smile!

The part with Oikawa & Ushijima was really good, some things were well said :P

Ugh time to wait now but damn if they do win against Shiratorizawa (they probably will), the 4th season if it comes is gonna be the best thing ever so hyped! Fukurodani, Nekoma omg so many great teams ~_~

You know haikyuu is always 10/10 in my book and so is this. Absolutely loved everything from training camp to the matches. My favorite moments were Chikara as captain and Yachi being adorable, plain awesomeness. Others were, Kuroo, Bokuto and Akashi being hilarious together and Hinata and Kageyama being badass together. Yamaguchi shone well, too. Everyone got character development so it was very satisfying. Can't wait for fall now! And I guess those were the famous words "you should have joined Shiratorizawa." lmao Ushijima is gonna eat his words. Still loving his stoic character, seems like a worthy opponent. Man, I can't wait grrrr!

Man, i knew that this episode wouldn't go to the start of the actual match but i was hoping that they would enter the stadium to find they had a crowd to hype them up for the first time

We need to all go there! We'd probably end up overflowing the gym and blocking off street access though...

Even if I'm not a big volleyball fan, I'm glad I decided to try watching this out of curiosity back when the first season got released. xD

If I'm being totally honest, I still can't quite decide whether to be happy Karasuno won, or sad that Seijoh lost. Oikawa was one of my favorite characters in this series, and now we probably won't see him anymore. :(

I'm a big fan.
I played volleyball when I was 15-20 years old.. on the firs t 2 years we were the team that everybody would beat... on the third year we won the championship. I can totally relate to Karasuno and since I was the very short guy the series is giving me chills.
Even our teams colours were dark blue and orange. I'm not sure how to post pictures on this one but If I could that would make a lot laugh by the similarities.

I couldn't help but feel a bit bad about Seijoh, many of them were retiring... but Karasuno had to win. And I am glad they did. Great season and better than even season 1, great cast and great matches.

Sad we won't be seeing much of Oikawa and Iwaizumi, I was getting teary eyed seeing Iwaizumi crying and seeing Oikawa's and Ushijima's bit, was glad to see him holding his ground firmly.

I can't wait for the next season to see the final match, it's gonna be an intensity roller-coaster again!

Good season overall but I found the first season was more thrilling. It had its awesome moments but I felt like the matches and plays weren't exactly on par with S1. Might've been because the training arc in S2 was too long and the only matches I found interesting were the ones against Wakunan and Aoba. The drama between Hinata and Kageyama after that fight they had was also annoying.

Other than that, good sequel and looking forward to S3.

Great season overall.

One thing I wished they did slightly different is give more attention to the other characters. While they do give some love to everyone, it felt pretty obvious that Hinata was getting a TON more love, even Kageyama was outshone many of the times.

I feel like Season 1 did this spectacularly, but S2 was more of, "Here's an episode for each character... and like 15 for Hinata."

It still was pretty damn satisfying though. Especially with how hype the ending of episode 24 got.

The contrast between how this and the previous season ended made the pay off of this victory all the more satisfying. Yet another great entry into Haikyuu, with the season 3 announcement I'm hella looking forward to this final match. Hopefully the battle at the trash dump will come to pass as well.

As Takeda puts it, the first half of this season was all about putting the cogs in place. Each member of Karasuno had to figure out what part they needed to play, how to build upon that foundation, and how to set their cog in motion to connect with the rest of the team. The second half shows the fruits of those efforts and the matches were definitely worth the wait, most especially the payback against Aoba Jousai.

Another refreshing aspect of this season was the addition of Hitoka. It provides insight into how important managers really are and how often they're the unsung heroes of the team. More importantly though, it was nice to see how much of an impact that decision had on her character and how her, Kageyama, and Hinata all grew as a result of each other's support.

kinda disappointing - leaving us with a huge cliffhanger and not even coming to a conclusion. the very last scene was pretty epic when kageyama and hinata resolve that they won't lose whatsoever it looked astonishing.

At first I thought Oikawa was referring to Kyoutani then I realized it was Kageyama he was talking about (and perhaps Hinata too but he's not his underclassman).

I can't wait to see Shiratorizawa versus Karasuno.

It's nice to see that Oikawa actually acknowledges Kage's strength and tells Ushiwaka not to underestimate his kouhai (:

I don't see why there are complaints about the training camp either; I quite enjoyed it haha.

This anime is the best sports anime i have ever seen tbh. well, it was predictable to me except the loss with Seijo in the first season, but that's the main reason why i like this anime. the fact that Karasuno was slowly growing into a much stronger team with the resolve, teamwork and fighting spirits they have. even tho it was predictable, just everytime i saw the match, it was amazingly hyped. mostly because of the three reason which i just said; resolve, teamwork and fighting spirits. so i mean, sports isn't only about win or lose. and the author put it well in the story. and i really really like that alot.

now for the next match is kinda hard to predict which one will win considering for what the author did with the match between Karasuno vs Seijo in the first season. Karasuno might lose too in the next match but they might win too. it's hard to predict and it makes me can't wait to watch it.

looking foward for the next season XD

and btw, animation : 11/10
my god, i wonder where the hell did they get all of the budget from.
that was one hell of an animation from the first season. even it improved in this season. the animations seemed to be very serious on this anime.

Holy amazeballs that was GREAT

Easily on the same level as S1, if not even better in some ways

A very strong 8/10, I probably would've given it a 9/10 if it hadn't been for that training camp part which I found a little bit too dragged out + not enough Oikawa (you can never have enough Oikawa)

Congrats you piece of shit, you've earned a spot on my favorites list

On one had I did like that they focused more on the training aspects (and didn't just jump right into the tournament),that it gave side characters more time to shine (even female characters had more than 2 lines of dialogue at a time) and that overall it was very much on the same level as S1.

On the other hand there was only 1 notable match in the entire season, which was the last match from the first season all over again.Which made this S2 a bit more barren and spread too thin. Those first few preliminary matches could have very well been fast forwarded.

What an excellent season! It's really rare to find a show rich with character development these days. Gotta give props to the author; each and every character is so well developed and likeable, you just end up routing for them even when they are up against the main cast.

11/10!

I did like the first half of the first season better but the last few matches and everything made up for it.

I seriously cried for Oikawa. Gosh, I cried so much. I like Karasuno, but I just really love Aoba Johsai too much. The feels though, when the team members cried I cried. I was really dreading this episode. I didn't want to see Aoba Johsai (more like Oikawa) lose. I hope that they'll win next time and beat Shiratorizawa. Karasuno should also beat Shiratorizawa if they beat Aoba Johsai. I love Oikawa, but good luck to Karasuno!

I marathoned both seasons in 2 days and wow, Haikyuu sure is super enjoyable!

The matches were exciting, the cast is bunch of loveable dorks and their comedic moments are top notch.

The first half of S2 was a tad slow but I appreciate the character development and how each player had his time to shine.

While S1 ended on a bittersweet note, this season had a triumphant finish! I want to watch S3 already but will wait to marathon it cause having to wait week by week will be hard for Karasuno vs. Shiratorizawa.

Well that was predictable, I liked season 1 more, the story now became predictable and boring, the characters are still cool, the animation sounds all that stuff is basically the same as season 1.
So I'll rate it slightly below season 1.

6/10 - This show is overrated, like most sequels in Top 100.

Season 3 is one match but i'm sure Karasuno will win lol.

I kinda wish the first half of this season hadn't been so meh, it really dragged down my overall impression of it. Second half was spot-on though but I'd prefer if a bit more than half of an anime of this nature was actually worthwhile... because endless training camps sure as hell aren't. Ah well

Well, I should say I'm feeling the opposite. Maybe because I'm not in a good mood while watching the second half? I dunno, but I really like the drama and character development (Tsukki!) in the first half.

Well, time to watch the third season!

I'm so hyped up for the final match. It will be fun to see how Karasuno handles Shiratorizawa considering they have never played against them. It feels like all the spotlight is on Ushijima, even though they don't know what the other players are capable of.
