| I do this with people i talk to on a regular basis, to see who is talking to who. Eg. I am in a club with a skype group which is almost always active so I have met a major chunk of the active members. So I sometimes stalk their profiles to see their past conversations with other members. |

| I do it occasionally on deviantart, because 'stalking' the profile of my favourite fanart artists allow me to see the other side to them; such as their inspirations for drawing, their circles (that more often than not share similar style), and also their future projects so i'll have something to look forward to. On generally unproductive MAL members? Waste of time. |

Sometimes if I get curious about a user I'll check their recent forum posts too and I don't even feel a little bit guilty because it's their public persona. For me, if I want to talk about something that is sensible information, I'll take it to a private message and I suppose other users do the same. | I only go to someones profile to add them as a friend or to message them which is basically almost never. I wont add someone or PM someone unless I really like that person. As far as stalking peoples profiles...well its kinda weird. but at least this isn't face book where people upload a bunch of personal information. like friends, family members, relationship status. one of the many reasons I stay away from facebook. |
