Official: NSA Data Will be Used for Domestic Policing that Has Nothing to Do With Terrorism

Sources:

"The Obama administration has moved to allow the National Security Agency to begin sharing private intercepted communications with other governmental agencies, without any type of privacy protections, despite the fact that the information was collected without a warrant."

"What does this rule change mean for you? In short, domestic law enforcement officials now have access to huge troves of American communications, obtained without warrants, that they can use to put people in cages. FBI agents don’t need to have any “national security” related reason to plug your name, email address, phone number, or other “selector” into the NSA’s gargantuan data trove (...)"

Among all the SJW, Trump and terrorists attacks news, which are feeding the whole media and making these ones more occult, I think this is unsurprisingly (this was predictable to happen sadly) important to check for everyone, but specially for US citizens.

Be aware of what your government is doing on your back, fight for your rights or eventually they will be lost. The biggest problem is, how can you do that, when majority of the people have no intention to do it and these agencies can control any potential movements?

Obama you say? isn't that the man who promised all American's to be different to scale back drone strikes and military and public surveillance ? its like presidents lie to the public to get elected by telling them what they want to hear or something...

Be warned America keep signing your rights away and you will end up like the glorious UK

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/11964655/Police-to-be-granted-powers-to-view-your-internet-history.html

The nation that will spy on everyone straight up for no reason, not even to pretend its to do with terrorism. Then jail just about everyone for once looking at bondage because its illegal like 90% of other adult material here and people think Trump will ruin America. Come to the UK and see what a bound and gagged people really look like.

Remember when those retards were like:

"If you have nothing to hide, then what is there to be afraid of?"

ahhh, I wish I was back in the good times when Classical Liberalism was still popular, when people still remembered that authoritarianism was the government of people like Stalin. When people would have been aware that in China you "disappear" when you say something bad on the internet.

Okay, now that I got the melodramatics out of the way, going to have to look into this one, because I cannot fathom how any congress member could have let something like this slip past. Passing shit like this is quite literally a very good way to not get reelected.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looked into it and apparently it has already been done before. Great, now comes "selective policing".

- I see you support the political party that isn't mine, I also see here that you torrented $3,000 worth of movies . . . Go to prison for 30 years, enjoy not voting.

Funny thing is a stupid amount of people will decide its good for them, will go along with it.
I remember the words of one famous man.

"People willing to trade their freedom for temporary security deserve neither"

Rightly so.

It is annoying since we have seen (often) how this bites people on the ass. Never set up a position in which whoever is in power has too much power. I'm honestly surprised Obama would leave this housewarming gift for Trump. Very shortsighted on his part. This is the kind of thing you would do when you assume presidency, not something you would do right before handing the torch onto (statistically likely) a person of the opposing party.

It doesn't seem like many Americans take this as a serious enough issue. It would probably take an inciting incident to get people more involved.

Fuck this America becomes more of a police state every day. Literally every single one of you should worry, you all have broken the law one way or another whether you realize it or not and you're potential targets for going to jail. You better try to stop this from happening in every way possible. I don't know where to start at this point though. If it comes to a vote vote against it. If it goes to congress write to congress. If it somehow becomes law try to get it to be changed. Every single one of your lives is in danger. Everything you have can be taken away from you and your entire life will be ruined with a criminal record and you will be raped in jail.

Scared yet ? You should be!
Do you like watching anime without paying for it? You're going to jail!
Do you like downloading music without paying for it? You're going to jail!
Have you ever accidentally clicked a link that lad to a shady site or image? You're going to jail!
Have wifi? Have a computer? Well hackers can relay their internet to your computer? Both can do illegal things in your name. Guess what? You're going to jail!

The only candidate against the huge invasion against every citizens lives via the NSA is Sanders. Which is unfortunate because it means only one person can save us on the presidential level of power. Rand Paul was against the privacy invasion but he is not even running anymore. If Sanders is not there then everyone still would need to stop this somehow if it keeps trying to come through into use during the next presidency s the subject will come up. The government is ruthless.

Even if you re not in the US, you should worry. Your country will do it too because they all copy eachother.

Indeed, the citizens still have their fridges full of food, their TV's, their internet, able to complain about X president candidate, etc...

People only start to figure out how bad their situation is, is when the bad has all ready been done and the consequences slapping on their faces.

Trump will abuse this for profit and pure tyranny, Trump should never have access to any information the NSA has.

That's only if TPP passes. If Trump's elected, you have absolutely nothing to worry about as he'll dismantle it.

I don't believe the articles one bit, they're whistleblowing at its finest.

Besides, this issue, while it's grave in nature, isn't as dire as other things. Let good executive orders fix those first, and then have a new Preisdent revise the NSA spying later. Either way, what you're worried about almost entirely hinges on Obamatrade (TPP).

I'm sorry traed, but people don't understand their own good. Something must happen before they will act upon it. Sad but true. Nothing will change for you in the near future. Maybe around 2050, but perhaps it's too late then.

God knows how much people have envied America in the past. It was the light in the world, and now it's slowly but steady turning into a real shithole. Of course, this will happen over time so people won't really notice it.

It's really tragic because I have postive views on the American people. They want to work hard and do what's right, but your leaders are shit. They are good speakers and all, but nothing more.
But I shouldn't sit here and feel safe. When you fall, you will drag us all with you as well. People born after 1990 should not reproduce to spare future generations. Now we will do that anyway, but if we were rational and ethical. The good days are over soon.

I really do hope that I am wrong.

He's against NSA surveillance last I checked.

Or if he said he's for it (he echoed what Rubio said I do remember), then he'll probably revise it for his own benefits to take out the "domestic policing" part out.

Either way, I suggest you worry about the TPP more at this point. Once that's dismantled under Trump (you have to be thanking him for that), the law won't be made in the favor that Obama would like to create it.

All of the candidates say they are against TPP. It does not rely on Trump.

Also what would TPP even have to do with the NSA making the US a police state? There are all sorts of crimes the average american commits not just piracy.

America: land of freedom.

I mean, seriously, how are they even going to solve this game of "Where's Muhammad?" There are far too many communications in America today, and far too many ways to disguise them via hacking or the like...This will just waste taxpayer money.

if? When is the question.

https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2016/03/tpp-under-fire-us-other-signatories-advance-towards-ratification

Since january many sites (now recently the electronic foundation frontier) assume tpp will not be passed fully in the usa until after the elections or 2017. Other countries are still ratifying it now but the usa has to as well or this corporate blowjob dies. So our free hental dl'ing fun lasts a bit longer...maybe, I believe this summer it will pass. I like to hope the fbi have little interest in attacking anime downloaders unless you're a uploader making money.

Yeah Americans should be scared I know a lot of people will be like eh this kind of thing will never happen. but coming from someone living in a country where this kind of thing is passed and does happen trust me, you hold onto your freedom America as long as you can. Thats why I don't jump on the American progressive bandwagon of hating on these redneck voter types and Trumps lot because it was the same progressive types that voted in people who enacted this kind of shit and it will be for you too America the liberal progressives who will get your freedoms removed from you.

As like a warning for your possible future I side with those rednecks who claim the government will never take their southern flags and guns, you stick to your rights America don't let the left wing take them away from you in the name of safety because its bullshit.

Support Captain America, not Hydra.

Those who watch shows like highschool dxd and other such shows beware, they will be coming for you next.

http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/teesside-news/anime-fan-convicted-over-illegal-7958896

The former student and office worker had hundreds of “Manga Japanese style” pictures at that time, but they were not made illegal until 2010.

The Judge told him “I have to tell you that if there had been, an immediate prison sentence measured in years might have been appropriate.

“You are an intelligent man. You certainly should have been aware of the risk of indulging in accessing this material, and you acknowledge your foolishness and guilt.”

He added: “This is material that clearly society and the public can well do without. Its danger is that it obviously portrays sexual activity with children, and the more it’s portrayed, the more the ill-disposed may think it’s acceptable.”

He gave Hoque a nine-month prison sentence suspended for two years. He said anything that encouraged child abuse, including word of mouth, drawings or artistic impressions, was to be “actively discouraged”.

"Actively discouraged" artistic impressions based on subjective views of the judge at the time with no factual statistics to actually back it up, all based on opinion. Beware anime weebs. Before long we'll be going to jail for watching anime that depicts Nazi's and they can say it spreads neo Nazism, ironic to be sure considering their censorship of fiction.

>Make new rules for surveillance
>Suddenly change and make a whole slew of new laws that have no bearing in reality
> Suddenly tying two unconnected things together and with your new surveillance laws conviction rates for bad crime suddenly goes up even though 50% of those convictions are bogus
> Country suddenly looks like its tackling crime better, thanks the surveillance, passes more surveillance laws.

They'll do it to you America bring in new surveillance laws and within a year bring in changes to law to widen what counts as terrorism and or been illegal. Suddenly so many more people will be arrested for both, they'll say look at the conviction rates this new system is working! and bring in more surveillance and more bogus laws.

Its a trick as old as time but only recently have we become so cucked as to allow it. Don't fall for it America its a path that only goes down for you citizens.
