It's amazing to see Assassination Classroom's manga to sell so high, but the anime adaptation seems to kind of flop with its season 2's preorder of 2k-ish.

Shounen manga adaptation usually doesn't sell much but gives the manga a good boost in sales and well Seiji Kishi is bad director so wont be surprised if people preferred the manga.

YES!! I'm so happy Golden Kamuy is starting to get the recognition it deserves.

If anyone sees my post and doesn't know what this series is, go read it now. I'm already
predicting it will have a huge rise in popularity this year.

Bleach volume 71 seems to be outpacing volume 70 by a small, the puzzles and dragons collaboration may have helped it out a bit.

I'm kind of worried about Soma, it should not be that close to to Bleach three weeks in. Especially since back in August it had a pretty sizable lead over Bleach.

I don't think Taizai will be a 900k seller anymore by the end of the year, it's dropping similar to Magi and Ao no Exorcist.

How does a series that sells so poorly makes the top 30 every year?

Yeah, it's only sold 15 million copies overall, no big deal.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/daily-briefs/2016-01-08/yowamushi-pedal-manga-has-15-million-copies-in-print/.97346

Some technicalities to get out of the way... Printed copies is always > sold copies, unless the series itself always suffers from major stock issues. The reason why is in most cases, not all printed copies are actually not bought by a consumer for various reasons such as getting lost in transit, sitting in stock for a long time, etc. Thus, these unsold copies are not counted as "sold" and is not reported to Oricon. Obviously Oricon doesn't cover as many points of sale (POS) as with CDs and BD/DVD, so the real number of copies sold is most definitely somewhere between the "printed copies" number and the "sold copies" number reported by Oricon.

For Kubo it is, thats why he put Nemu in the cover, in order to improve the sales.

You know exactly why he chose Nemu for the volume, stop lying. Also lets not act like this is the first time Kubo put a busty female on one of the volume covers. Just look at the Nel, Harribel, or Rangiku volume covers.

That's a big IF since there's no guarantee for that. Just look at One Punch Man's adaptation or Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.

The reason probably is that, he always puts 1 character on the coverr, which has the main focus in those chapters, so he has to put them in the covers, just like he puts Aizen in the cover in the volume he was defeated. And if you now wanna tell me that he shouldnt do busty girls in his manga, almost every shonen manga has that and in bleach its not even that much.

I'm glad that TG, Noragami and Mahoutsukai no Yome are doing well.

Prison School's also not doing too bad so that's great.
