 An official website today revealed that a TV anime adaptation of light novel Occultic;Nine has been green-lit. The website also announced the cast and posted an announcement CM and PV. Cast Yuuta Gamon: Yuki Kaji (Shingeki no Kyojin) Ryouka Narusawa: Ayane Sakura (Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?) Sarai Hashigami: Kaito Ishikawa (Haikyuu!!) Miyuu Aikawa: Hitomi Yoshida (Digimon Adventure tri.) Touko Sumikaze: Shizuka Itou (Heavy Object) Aria Kureinaino: Miyuki Sawashiro (Noragami) Kiryuu Kusakabe: Kishou Taniyama (Show By Rock!!) Ririka Nishizono: Mamiko Noto (Persona 3 the Movie) Shun Moritsuka: Tetsuya Kakihara (Fairy Tail) Synopsis The story takes place in Kichijoji. Dreaming day and night of getting rich very quickly, Yuuta Gamon, a 2nd year high school student, owner of an affiliation blog called Kiri Kiri Basara, takes advantage of it and he gathers nine eccentric individuals. With their help, he challenges the supernatural and tries to solve all mysteries leading to unimaginable events that can potentially alter the course of the world...or maybe not? The light novel series is written by Chiyomaru Shikura with illustrations by pako. The series has been publishing since August 2014 with two volumes in print. The series has also received a visual novel game that was announced last year in March. In addition, a manga version drawn by Ganjii has been publishing since October 2015 in good! | Yet another LN adaptation with no actual animation other than a list of the popular names it's attached to run by Aniplex with the usual suspects in the cast for probably A-1 Pictures to fuck up even more. Ho fucking hum, still waiting for something new and potentially interesting to get announced for 2016 beyond that Battery series though I don't expect it and never really did coming in since I've already concluded that anime is basically just Aniplex throwing popular shit with popular shit into a blender and hoping a hit will crap itself out and have seen little evidence to convince me otherwise for a third year straight (it's almost April already). The titles in SciADV and Chiyomaru's material have their little motifs (Chaos;Head being Delusional SciADV, Steins;Gate being Hypothetical SciADV, and Robotics;Notes being Augmented SciADV). Occultic;Nine is its own thing, it is separate canon. They made a point to explicitly mention that. BTW 1. I hope for original soundtrack from VN 2. I hope for good studio (no CG please). |
