| I would only assume that it's for the same reason why so few anime characters have facial hair. Japanese people bathe every day and are always clean shaven. I don't think people like this would be the kind of people to not shave their armpits. They're also short, look juvenile until much later in life, and consider fangs to be attractive because they resemble children's teeth.
