| Fun episode. I like how the writers envisioned human & robot civilization developing in the Antarctic. Though I found the fight scene very lazily detailed compared to other episodes. The penguin suit moment was funny. Where can we get such a perfect penguin suit irl? And I paraphase my favorite moment: "He's a spy! Penguins live in the south pole not the north, dummy!" One thing I'm confused about, is Sharky a robot, or just his mom? I like the idea that Sharky's human with a robot mom. It makes for a good moral take on bigotry. But it could work as both are robots too if we consider internalized bigotry. Also an interesting thing to note is they leave this episode on a cliff hanger, of the other world robots planning an invasion. I wonder if there's a direct follow up, or if they just knew they'd have episodes with that theme later on. As most if not all of these episodes seem to be small stories rather than connecting to each other. Funimation has this episode listed as Episode 13: The Deep Freeze. |
