The preview looks great IMO. Wit studio haters can shut their mouth now.

Owari no seraph pv looked great too and the pv shown here is for the manga not the actual ova.

Edit: I heard Production IG will help with the planning and production so it'll be fine I guess.

They're the former team that did Guilty Crown when in I.G but I don't know about them being a part of I.G anymore. They shouldn't be running into any issues with their previous projects if they're still part of I.G. The only other anime where I.G is helping them is with SnK.

Lots sure putting hate on this because of the studio. The manga despite the praise here is quite the humble one. In fact, animating it as it is now would just make it bring it with an open ending and it will just not satisfy the thirst of who tried the manga. I believe making it a prequel is actually a smart choice and seeing that it will be 1 episode per each incoming volume, it is most likely that an anime adaptation to follow after those OVA so its nothing bad.

That PV is nothing of a prequel. That's pretty much the manga lol. Is that really meant to promote the incoming OVA or the manga? Hahaha.

The PV is made to promote the manga & build hype for the prequel and the series as a whole, hence the name "Grand PV".

Why are people complaining that wit studio is animating this???

Maybe because Owari no Seraph "poorly" animated. Some people still bitching that.

I thought WIT Studio was a good choice, they're have a good background art. (ex : Hoozuki no Reitetsu, Rolling Girls)
They're still part of I.G. Port too. Which we can expect a "High Budget" for this. Production I.G. can involved like SnK S1 to help the animation.

But wit doesn't do their Backgrounds, it is mostly another studio doing it for there show both Hoozuki no Reitetsu and Rolling Girls were done by Studio Bamboo and Owari no seraph was done by Studio Pablo

Is it? But that is way too misleading if people new to this title think that PV is what the OVA all about.

Great news, even if it's a prequel. The PV looks fantastic as well - I hope they make it in the same style with the same level of quality.

I'm going to assume that this will follow Chise before she meets Elias and struggling with her sight.

Wow. That PV is just the happenings from the manga. Including Angelica's powerful body blow at the end! I think the OVA will cover some of the earlier parts of the manga (but it didn't really seem like it) and then go to the prequel straightaway. Just speculating.

The animation looked absolutely stunning with the use of vivid surroundings, albeit the manga drawing always made me think the world would be a bit murky since the setting is in the UK. Regardless, I cannot express how happy I am to see Chise and Elias animated. I approve the character designs already!

I just hope more people read the manga. It's a real treat for someone who knows how to enjoy witty dialogues and eager to explore an unknown world of magic and sorcery.

OK, I stand corrected. For some reason I thought that you're talking about Elias' voice.

Hmm...finally a show I'm actually interested in, which isn't a sequal! yay! The concep of the manga is unique. The art is good and that theme is awesome.
The question is is this going to be an experiment to see are people interested in making an anime or is this just an advertisement for the manga? If it's the first then how are they going to sell enought copies? Is the manga that famous in Japan?

It is one of the regularly top ranked manga according to Kono Manga ga Sugoi! so yes, I would say it's pretty famous in Japan.

Fucking hell, the sound, the animation. This preview is stunning as fuck 😍
An anime can't be more anticipated :)
Although how can this be a prequel? Stating from the preview, this was what happened in the first few chapters....

If it's so acclaimed in Japan I don't understand why it is not getting its own full series. Maybe after the manga has progressed further? It has been about three years and she's only released 6 volumes, though I could see an entire season filled by the events in the first two volumes alone ₍₍ ( ๑॔˃̶◡ ˂̶๑॓)◞♡

Or maybe they want to build interest before launching into a full (multi-season dammit!) series, or even a movie 0.0
Crazy? Probably. Obsessed? Definitely ♥
