Finally got to see the episode, had been busy in the past few days. Anyway great backstory, now it feels like Sasaki has become an important character and not just 'another' side character. Damn all these characters really have depth. Animation and art were great, didn't notice any hiccups this time. Just three episodes to go :'( Praland said: Well, they rushed it, didn't they? How rushed is it, like too much or what? As an anime-only, the pacing was really good, the dialogues felt naturally paced and backstory took its time and stuff. Action was great and didn't felt as they went fast or anything. ![]() Signature removed. Please follow the signature rules, as defined in the Site & Forum Guidelines. |
CG-Silver said: Personally, I didn't find anything rushed. They cut out one or two dialogues but that's it. I'm surprised they were able to fit 4 chapters in this episode. They may even adapt 5-6 chapters next episode since it's not that dialogue heavy.Praland said: Well, they rushed it, didn't they? How rushed is it, like too much or what? I've read this part on manga but still felt bad for Sasaki when I watched this. Decent animation on this episode, overall good pacing to build the atmosphere when they started viewing Isaburo's backstory, and simply the best part on this episode imo. Next, the Shinigami will make his revealing for the first time. ![]() |
Isaburo's past, man. :( He was thinking of all kinds of names for the baby too. ![]() There is no such thing as an Anime elitist. You watch Anime, therefore, you are trash by society's standards. |
Loved the part where it was just a normal kid delivering a porn mag to the old man in the Paladin lol. ![]() |
Goddamn. I can't put into words how satisfying this episode was. I've been wondering for so long why Sasaki's doing all these. I was wondering, what's in it for him? Why's he so eager and determined to end the Shinsengumi or the Samurai era all in all? That flashback was enlightening. Who would've thought he's one of the people who sacrificed the most. ![]() Signature removed. Please follow the signature rules, as defined in the Site & Forum Guidelines. |
I'm a little confused about what Saski is trying to do... why did he keep a fight with the Shinsegumi if he was really after the Tendoshu? I get that he wants to get a rebellion started (this is why he supported the new shogun). Having Kondo killed would also help by having the Shinsegumi rebel... but not if they end up all killing each other along with his Mimawarigumi. Was he trying to lure the Tendoshu out so he could kill them? This seem like the only explanation, but the impression I got at the end of the episode was that both the Shinsengumi and Mimawarigumi did a lot of damage to each other and now the Tendoshu have all the advantage. Anyways, loved the episode :) Nobume is always awesome, now even more after getting her backstory. Kagura stopping her fight with Sougo was also super badass. ![]() |

Mah Girl nobune cried. Dropping. ![]() "The future is always blank. Only your willpower can leave footsteps there." "Ruling over death means ruling over life. Death is the climax of life. To have the best death, you must honor life." |
Sasaki's backstory is heartbreaking. When he was running and then found his family killed like that was so fucked up. So thats how Nobume came to follow him. Also Nobume crying like that was really sad too. ![]() Then and now, what I protect has never changed. |
