| Pretty much all of the manga I've read is outside of the top 1000. There is one manga I've read some of that is outside of the top 10,000 (Waga Tousou). I'm pretty sure most of the anime I watch is also outside of the top 1000 and only a few are outside of the top 10,000. I have also seen two hentai and several anime with fewer than 50 votes which are therefore not even ranked. |

Besides people. there are all sorts of unusual creatures, and all of them are very well-drawn. Sketchbook manga, like the anime, is a mix of funny jokes and interesting observations of nature. I also feel that I'm very similar to the main character, Kajiwara Sora. First Squad: The Moment of Truth anime is probably more meaningful to ex-Soviet people than to Westerners. Among the ex-Soviets, some hate it a lot because they take it too seriously. But for me, it resonates as very right. It's a story about occult battle happening during WWII between Ahnenerbe and psychic soviet pioneers (which is why you shouldn't take it too seriously). Knights manga resonates with me too - it's about good people with science fighting evil priests during heat of the witch-hunts of the middle ages. Priests keep talking about witches, but the only supernatural powers in the setting are the ones priests get for killing a lot of witches. I'm an antitheist, so I like this a lot. Dog Days anime is #520 in popularity, but only #2396 in rating. Yet I like it a lot. Mostly because it's very light-hearted - the setting is set up so that wars can be fought without a single person dying. It also provides a cute shota protagonist, a cast of cute animal-eared girls, fighting, ecchi and heart-warming. |

| None of my favorites (as in top 10), anime or manga, are ranked lower than #600 (lowest is the Naruto manga at #590something), but there have been quite a few that I loved that are out of the top 1000. eg. Medaka Box manga, Senyuu., Danganronpa: The Animation, Blood Lad, Aoharu x Kikanjuu. |

| Several, I see site rankings (or general internet rankings) as a way of knowing what is "popular". Not "what's good". I read up on what I want, if it interests me then I watch it. Examples being, Ikkitousen Series (S1 was a bit of a drag, but that rest wasn't half bad), Pokemon Best Wishes (Black & White, it was alright, something to watch but I hate fillers in pokemon... only season I've fully watched), Rosario + Vampire (Eh... it's okay but.. its fan service oriented, read the manga for plot.) and plenty more I don't feel like checking to see. As for manga, all the current manga I've read (or am reading) is out (or barely out) of the 1000's. One of them being my favorites by far, it's better than the anime. Focused more on plot. |

| Yeah, I think it'd be hard not to have a couple. I just checked everything I've rated an eight or higher on my completed anime list, and I counted 15 titles that were not ranked in the top 1000. All of which I consider to be very good. I'm sure there are more that I've rated seven and lower, but I'm too lazy to look through all of them. A few of my favorites are Level E, Ushio to Tora, Wasurenagumo, and Chouyaku Hyakuninisshu: Uta Koi. |

Oreimo. Thought it was good. School Days. Best anime ever. In all seriousness it wasn't too bad. Perfect Insider. Pretty good. Teekyuu. I thought it was really funny. Tenjou Tenge. Poor. Watamote. Really not my type of humour, so bad. White Album. Painful to watch. |

| Yep. D.N.Angel -- ranked 1950 -- it was pretty good/entertaining, 6/10. Nothing amazing, but not a waste of time. Deadman Wonderland -- ranked 1402 -- decently entertaining, fairly convoluted plot though. Definitely could have been better. 6/10 Susei no Gargantia (Gargantia on the Verderous Planet) -- ranked 1087 -- pretty good, I quite enjoyed this anime. 7/10 Rakuen Tsuihou: Expelled from Paradise -- ranked 1210 -- Meh. Too fanservice-y, kind of boring. 5/10 |

| Yes, one of them is Rock Lee no Seishun Full-Power Ninden. I've read a lot of negative comments regarding it but as I like Naruto a lot then I enjoyed watching this spinoff when I was bored. |

| Plenty of them, of the top of my head I can think of Medaka Box. The manga is actually surprisingly good once you get past the first 59 shitty chapters, then the greatness that is Kumagawa enters and saves the entire series. |
