i loved that they actually made the girls reveal their identities to their parents and friends.
i can understand that the girls' parents didn't want to let them go, but it's great that they did it after all.

Wow. I've never seen anything like that in mahou shoujo before-- not in Sailor Moon, not in Cardcaptor Sakura, and not in any Precure I've watched before now. This episode fully capitalizes on the sheer amount of time spent fleshing out and developing the cast, and especially the Cures' families.

I've never seen family play such an important role. That was such a great thing to see.

Bravo. Even if the whole ending ends up being meh after this, Fresh will have my respect for what it managed to pull off with its cast here.

I'm really glad that the parents' feelings were considered. Then again, it only makes sense that something like that would happen when the bonds the girls share with their families (especially for Love and later Setsuna) have been such an important part of the show in. This episode was a straight 5/5.

And it's the fan that did it. Not the smoking porn reading rubik cube genius rape ape with a magic boat.

Really emotional episode, the endgame of the story is here and the girls decided to reveal their identities before saying goodbye, seeing all the familiars and friends worried was really something.

Well that was one heck of an episode. The Precures, knowing they're rushing into danger, inform their parents of their true identities. This is the first time a Precure team has let their parents know about their identities, so it makes the situation seem all the more dire. The Precures may not come back safely, so they're letting their parents know because they may not get another chance. The parents are obviously worried, and they hold their kids back from traveling to Labyrinth despite the multiverse falling one world at a time. It's understandable though, as it reminds me of an episode of Kino's Journey (2003) regarding parenting. It quite illogical, but it's easy to let others suffer if it means the safety of your own children. I'm surprised Precure of all things is making me recall Kino's Journey.

Anyways, their conclusion is also one I like, where they decide they should respect the decision of their kids, or at least on the condition that they all come back safely. Come to think of it, the theme of family really gets a lot of attention throughout Fresh Precure. It's nice to have that consistent theming going on.

Lastly, it's minor, but I liked that the Precures' first transformation sequence in front of their parents were cut super short. It shows the attention to the scene's tone to not go through the entire spiel.

I've been itching to see more magical girls willingly reveal their identities ever since I watched Fancy Lala, so this was a really nice surprise.
