| How on Earth has "his model" predicted the results over 104 years? Looking at past election's results as being indicative of some "model for predicting results of an election" means absolutely nothing. A president's success (or lack thereof) is heavily reliant on the era. The biggest problem I can see with his model is that it "dings points" off of the political party that had previously held the office for the last two terms. This has been true with Clinton --> Bush --> Obama, however considering Clinton and Bush's stints in office, this shouldn't be a fucking surprise. The thought is that independents will more likely align with the party that has not been in power, and will be the "tie breaker", however people like Trump / Sanders are so far off the spectrum you really can't accurately gauge how well that will do with those undecided. |
