Haven't read much since the anime ended. Quality of arcs don't seem to mean much. Dressrosa was one of One Piece's worst arcs, yet it still sold remarkably well. Attack on Titan of late hasn't been nearly as good as some of the early stuff, the stuff the anime covered, yet it still sells incredibly well. Yes, some arcs can make sales go above and beyond the expected, like Marineford with One Piece and how it sold over 30 million copies for that year, but it's usually about a dedicatd fan base, and just wanting to maintain a collection. Unlike in the US, where volumes are $10+, a volume is about the cost of a cup of coffee, so even if the content is crap, it's not a terrible financial burden to get the new volume to keep up with the collection. When it comes to 7DS, I just think the anime boost is over and it hasn't really carried it above and beyond like many expected it to. |

But its weird how it's dropping so fast, only about a year after the anime ended, I think Magi had/has the same problem. Maybe it's because they don't have the promotional push of the shueisha titles that sell in a similar range.. |

Moreover in spite of appearances, NNT is not a shounen very teenager: no real fan service, no heroes bound by the power of friendship, not a clear and defined final goal. However the second season of anime should do effect as there are a lot of pretty amazing passage of emotions and revelations, and of course an action always top. |

I don't think it is because of that. It could be probably due to the fact that it is releases a volume every 2 month. ange_bleu said: Z4k said: No limited edition for NNT volume 19? *448,781 Nanatsu no Taizai Vol.15 (Limited edition included) (5 days) *400,864 Nanatsu no Taizai Vol.16 (Limited edition included) (5 days) *350,720 Nanatsu no Taizai Vol.19 (5 days) Ouch...The current arc must have been pretty bad. Yes of course : Fan service is low and ridiculous compared to titles like One Piece and Fairy Tail. Suzuki rarely highlights subjectively buttocks and breasts of his heroines. There is a little bare, but it is soft. No subjective pose or ultra sexy outfit like One Piece or Fairy Tail. This is not the friendship who bound the Sins, but duty. The only classic shounen friendship is that of Meliodas and Ban. In NNT the pattern of friendship is replaced by love : It's love between couples / characters mainly motivate the actions of the characters, and gives them the strength to overcome. No real purpose as become the best pirate, ninja, magician or I do not know what else. We do not know what happened 3000 years ago: the demons are bad, but the goddesses? Who does what and Why the magic of Britania has changed? (I will not say more because spoil). It is rather the mysteries of past of characters, and how everything is connected which is the thread of the manga. For me, NNT is rather a shonen for the thirties who want to dive back in their youth, rather than a shounen actually formatted for young people today. |

Enen no Shouboutai I've been reading ironically until it gets cancelled. Blue exorcist and a bunch of shonen ripoffs and a main character whose personality changes every chapter meets superhero/military/priest firefighters? And its actually selling? I've been waiting to see a rushed or axed conclusion but no? Are that many people reading it for the irony of how off the wall stupid the concept is? Or how the series can't keep to its own rules and the characters are barely recognizable personalities within a few chapters? I mean its hilariously bad but in a way that is not outright terrible bad so its a twisted kind of enjoyment but I really am surprised I was genuinely expecting NEXT WEEK! THE STORY RUSHES TOWARDS ITS CLIMAX! SEE YOU NEXT TIME! That said, Ad astra per Aspera making the list is also another big surprise. The series isn't really bad or anything but didn't really stand out much yet in the first few chapters or seem to play well into any specific genres but its cool to see something new and different break onto the list its first week |

For whatever reason, the last few days have seen a somewhat substantial boost in all the volumes, with the early volumes specifically getting a huge boost according to shosekirangings. I don't know what the overall series sales will look like come next week, but it should be quite a bit higher than this week. I don't know if it'll continue into upcoming weeks, though. |

This SnK volume had extremely good legs. It's about to start selling more than One Piece vol.80 per week even though it was released three weeks earlier. And with 11 consecutive weeks, this is the volume that has spent the most weeks on the list since One vol. 78 last year (11 weeks as well). The last Snk volume to spend more consecutive weeks on the list was vol. 12 in 2014 with 12 weeks. Vol. 10 stayed on the list for 28 consecutive weeks (anime boost). |
