THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Damn that was thrilling. Just seeing the way Airi told a bit about her past and then BAM... I find it interesting again that the story transits between the flashbacks and present events to connect the plot. The amount of analysis of the past in particular related to Kayo is also interesting imo. A lot of detective work this episode, not as charming as some of the previous ones but I think was nice. The cliffhanger D: arrested! ![]() |
Main guy saved her, but in the end the employer took the credit. Asking about the incident from coworker (mother asked him about the incident in the past) of his mother. And the list with the possible suspects, including that guy main guy met before. The girl is safe, but all the adults think the main guy is the bad guy, just as the real bad guy set. Changing with her mother (at least I don't think she is her aunt because she is like most of adults who think the main guy is the bad guy), who believes her, because she wants to meet him. She told him possible real bad guy (not on the list, though, but that publicized bad guy is possibly the accomplice) and he told her in a way that he tells a story about why he's looking for the real bad guy. The police found him, though. Bad guy among the police crowd?! ![]() Modified by tsubasalover, Feb 11, 2016 9:13 AM I ♥ Two Syaorans from Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE and TRC!!! |
So, Satoru just got butter'ed in the end? Triggered by the 'culprit' itself? Hmm... I wonder in what timeline he returned... ![]() Modified by Gethemalot, Feb 11, 2016 8:45 AM Psst... Hey, You use Windows 10? Great! Wanna try Cafeine to simplify accessing your collections, or even your "collections"? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) No no no, you won't find it in the market, or even a store, no. Try it first before others gotta get it publicly sooner or later! Thank you. |
Satoru goes in the burning house to save Airi. Airi ends up escaping the hospital. Her mother awesome lol! Another cliffhanger. Satoru's captured! 5/5 ![]() |
The staff clearly don't give a crap about Airi. These two episodes got the worst animation. The writing also downplayed the emotional impact of her meeting with Satoru at the end. The manga is so much better in that moment. All in all, it was pretty disappointing. ![]() |
It was all over so quickly, this show is soo good. ![]() |
Amazing episode. And we are going to see revival next week (because we saw the buterfly). I wonder who the criminal is? And why he do all this? ERASED continues to amaze me every week. The temptation to read the manga is strong now. ![]() |
Seeing that Airi survived made me so happy The mystery is unfolding quite nicely but I have a feeling now that the killer might be two people.....The teacher from the past and Satoru's sharp friend - Who's the current killer carrying on the work of his teacher ![]() |
Not only Satoru's, even Airi's mother is awesome~ Airi was too naive, thinking she wasn't being followed, but oh well, because of that this anime has gotten more interesting. Now....how would you take down a city councilman criminal, Satoru..... ...he better activates his Revival again....so he could fix something up in the past and I could see more Kayo. ![]() |
Manager still a piece of shit and Airi trying to come in clutch but still failed. Satoru being a boss this entire episode and taking the mountain of bullshit like a champ. Glad that we are going to be adapting my favorite chapters now which I personally consider the best part of the series. ![]() Big Order (TV):great anime or greatest anime? |
Well at least Airi survived, but it looks like Satoru was arrested in the end afterall. To add a final insult he comes face to face with the gloating killer who framed him. Satoru desperately needs another chance to make things right... ![]() |
I've never been as hyped as I am now from that ending. I'm really curious what's going to happen next. From the butterfly shot at the end he might go back in time but I wonder when. Besides all the seriousness, it's nice to see a sweet moment between Airi and Satoru when he accidentally said things out loud. ![]() Modified by ihusmal1234, Feb 11, 2016 10:14 AM |
I wish I'd paid more attention to people's names in the previous episodes. I didn't know half of the people that were being listed off. Aside from that confusion, it was another riveting episode. I really can't wait to see how this all turns out. 5/5 ![]() |
With the new information Satoru has acquired, I really hope he's given another chance to go back and save Kayo. Or maybe that's a bit too Endless Eight-ish since he already got his chance. Maybe we'll go back to the day his mother was murdered, another chance for Satoru to make things right. ![]() "No, son, you may not have your body pillow at the dinner table!" |
Airi's mother helping her escape hospital was hilarious. Why are all the mothers in this show (with the exception of Kayo's ofc) so badass and awesome? ![]() |
I felt the art was kinda different this ep. Liked it a lot tho. More cute af Airi scenes <3 Man both the main girls this series are so lovable. The description of what happened to Kayo is definitely missing a few links. There's something we still need to know D: So it is this Nishizono guy that's for sure. But who is he and how was he connected to Sachiko and is he just a lolicon or is there more to it?? He looks way too cool and menacing to just be ur usual lolicon XD Loved the ending with the time stopping and the B&W effect after Satoru saw him. That was awesome. Butterfly...so we gonna revive again? I wonder to where he'll go back to exactly? ![]() |
This episode in a nutshell. My reaction right as they were looking at each other and the world froze. My sense of time got disturbed greatly, 20 minutes was over in an instant. 6 more weeks of this torture? ![]() I shall know no fear as I am fear incarnated |
Manager is still creepy. Luckily Airi knows who came to the rescue. Arrgh the wait for next week is already agonizing. Time machine, please... ![]() I need sleep. |

Airi is so sweet, her relationship with Satoru is heartwarming. That manager is such a scum. Liked the efforts in this episode to find out who the killer is, that was different, but very tense. That ending scene was hype as shit. That smile resembled the teacher's, i'm very sure. ![]() |
I guess that's that for the mystery, for the most part anyway. Not much reason to speculate anymore since they gave it away this episode, and it's pretty obvious who that guy is (besides "Nishizono"). But this series was never just about mystery solving anyway, so that's perfectly fine. Edit: Actually I take that back. Don't know the motive. What is the motive? I have no idea, haven't really thought about it until now. Definitely want to find out more about Mr. Culprit and his mindset. ![]() Modified by Harlequina, Feb 11, 2016 10:35 AM |
*CRYING* okay really this anime is gonna kill me! btw why none of you commented on this smile? ![]() |
I'm glad Airi is alive, but I really dislike that manager. He's just a pedophile with bad intentions. Then there is poor Satoru who still can't catch a break. I honestly have no idea how he will fix this. No hints, no help, nothing. :c All these cliffhangers will be the end of me. ![]() |
Another great episode. Built up the suspense really well. Honestly thought Airi was gonna die, Glad she's alive. Airi really believed Satoru with all heart. She's a real sweetheart <3 Still not enough info on Kayo. That ending though, The smirk on perpetrator's face :o Will he go back in time another time, Now that he knows the face of the culprit? ![]() |
Very interesting episode. Sad to see Satoru arrested. Looking forward to what will happen next. Especially with that butterfly at the end. ![]() It's time you look inward and begin asking yourself the big question, "Who are you, and what do you want?" - Uncle Iroh |
Gigue said: Not really, he is just salty over Airi's feelings for Satoru. If he didn't miraculously show up in that burning house; Satoru wouldn't have gotten the chance to further evade police and gain more knowledge before his inevitable arrest. Yea, I kinda figured that but I still think it's kind of funny how the manager suddenly comes in and basically tells Satoru to piss off XD ![]() |

Kinda bothered by the fact that the manager was so conveniently nearby. Other then that it was a solid ep. Satoru is going back to the past again!~ I bet he realized who the killer is after seeing him this time. ![]() |
This anime really likes its epic cliffhangers of doom, doesn't it? Having to wait a week between every episode is pretty painful at this point.. ![]() |

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! THE CONFRONTATION!! THE SUSPENSE!!! It's Revival time!! Yeah.. feels like the teacher now... grrrrr... gaaaa!!! Hiromi also died :/ I still find that blond kid suspicious. Who says kids can't be accomplices, eh? Damn, the background music in this series is killin'!! Totally sets the mood, the drama, the moment! Oh god, I wanna lick this series. Airi's mom is real sweet. That regret stings. Sawada is gonna be helpful! Hahahahaha... When Airi meets him, and Satoru speaks out loud his doubt and Airi says 'But I'm glad you trust me,' I think again that she looks like Hinazuki Kayo. And BAM the next scene shows the wall with graffiti on it, 'Impossible is nothing!' Hahahahahahaha!!! Really makes me think of a reincarnation now... If Satoru can go back, then why can't Hinazuki come back, right? It's 2006, she's 17, so born in 89, a year after Hinazuki died. Hehe...."Baka nano ka?!" I so damn wonder what they have in store. ^_^ ![]() Modified by Kundalini, Feb 11, 2016 11:49 AM _____ _ _ ______ Within pain, there is desire. _____ _ _ ______ |
Xenocrisi said: Are cliffhangers a new trend? If by "new" you mean a trend that's literally as old as fragmented storytelling itself... Different opinion than yours, I assume. You speak as if you've read the manga and can say that the above is both objectively and obviously incorrect. Which it is neither. Nothing wrong with preferring the manga version. Or the anime version. Or liking both equally. Or even disliking both. By the way, yes, the manga handled this episode's contents beautifully. I might like the anime adaptation a lot, but it has yet to beat the manga for me. ![]() |
