At first I thought how weird that world was, but then I remembered that it was inside a little girls head lol.

When that rake started glowing I thought "she better not turn into a magical girl", and then she did....-_-

I like that it's a Kurumi-chan centered episode. :) But I hate to admit that the events which occurred in this episode felt average to me.. :/

Oh well. Kurumi-chan! <3 I just hope she gets to keep her mahou shoujo powers. ;D xD

That OST during the transformation, and Kurumi's outfit sure looked similar to Chibiusa's.

Kurumi dang she's adorable. Her voice really fits her character.
Now the gang is all complete. Hopefully we get a Mai centered episode next.

Many crazy things going on during the episode, which took some of the focus Kurumi situation, but now she is definitely part of the Phantom's hunting team, I hope to see a good development in the plot in the coming episodes ..

End of episode - what even was this episode

What was this episode?
A girl tripped while crossing the street :^)

The end was pretty hilarious though, when Protagonist-kun pulled her back and the car rushes past them, not slowing down, honking, nothing - that guy would have literally just run her over.

I will say one thing: I never thought that I will ever hear a pink plush bear, voiced by Ryotaro Okiayu.

I know when I heard that pink teddy bear starting to talk I was "O-O is that Byakuya (Bleach)'s voice in the teddy bear body?"

All what are you guys watching never happened in the LN.

Shit really!? I was suspecting it with the out of the place Maho Shoujo and all... the rest of the episodes too? Can you tell what happened till now that was adapted or what wasn't?
Please tell me that we will see "...They experience the ups and downs of high school life before a certain incident leads them to the truth of this world." it was in the synopsis, it's the reason I'm watching...

For me all anime is anime original. I dont read manga, light novels, visual novels, etc.

This episode is an accurate description of what would happen if you take LSD and then walk into a toy store. Don't really know how to feel about it.

Also, I don't know why I even noticed it, but Haruhiro is fast as hell - Kurumi was barely starting to fall and that guy caught her from that distance.

This was pretty awful. OST was good when Kurumi was coming out of the cave. But for real this episode was mostly terrible from the start.

Didn't really like this episode, bored all the way through, but still did not expect the bear to sound the way he did.

As I expected, an episode about the loli. I didn't really care about this episode......much like the others, so I don't really have anything to say.

@bobzanny I heard this adaptation is entirely anime-original, so it might be entirely episodic, and we may never get an actual plot or story.

Is that right? Ugh beyond disappointed now....guess I'll pray someone will eventually translate the LN.

I could be completely wrong for all I know though. Maybe the rest of the series will actually focus on this "massive organization" that the synopsis says they're supposed to face.

Her inner conflict is just very bare-bones along with her characterization, so there's not much point of interest. All in all, a stereotypical plot you can telegraph from the first three minutes. I could not find a spark of creativity in this episode.

The Reina centric episode was much better.

It was filler. Not in the LN, as the LN readers inform me.

Clearly KyoAni wants to do a trippy anime a la Hyouka where they can fully exploit their animation capabilities. To do this, they even inject filler episodes like this, completely breaking the flow of whatever narrative exists.

Just do a second season of Hyouka. Or take a lowly 4-koma like you did with your magnum opus and commandeer it. Or hire a competent writer to give you raw material for an original anime and work with them, making it clear you want to tell the story via the animation (a good thing, but it also needs a good backbone story to work).

That was a really nice Kurumi episode. Albrecht is an awesome bear and seeing him talk in this fantasy world was great. The OST really shines on this episode alswell. Really enjoyed this one.

I agree with that. The whole episode was just weird... in a weird way. It wasn't even the appealing kind of weird. More like "why am I watching this again?"

This is wired because this is definitely a predictable and boring episode, but somehow it managed to keep my attention unlike all the previous one and It postpone my decision to drop this show to next week.

What's wrong with me?

Wasn't really interested in the episode for the most part. Cool to see that Kurumi overcame her fears but honestly it was just boring.

Wonder if the rest of the episodes are gonna be episodic like this or if we'll get some random plot, Either way the only thing I'm expecting from this show is more Mai Fanservice :P

The cuteness was very high, but it was a decent,if somewhat weak episode.

The house that the group stayed in was constructed with honey....I was half-heartedly expected Winnie the Pooh to be making an random appearance to be honest. ^_^

Despite that, it's good to see Kurumi getting the better of her fears, which is nice. =D

Now that the whole team are assembled, I'm hoping that the rest of the show will be an improvement compared to the first half.

The whole episode is a blend of cuteness and bears, LOL. History does not seem to want to change the registry, so let's enjoy the story as it is without worries. Excellent drawings, animations are more fluid and flawless, some gags were very nice.

I'm glad KyoAni finally realized that fanservice just doesnot work with their style.
And I was kinda disappointed by the final battle.

You didn't see many productions of KyoAni, right?
Wait, you rated Suzumiya 10/10. It was overfanserviced (I'm not saying that it was bad anime, I love it too), so...

But it was a different kind of fanservice. It's hard to put in words (partly because I'm not a native english speaker xD ).
MCPW tries to arouse the viewer (like normal fanservice).
Suzumiya "used" Fanservice.
For example in the scene in the cave, where the sexual tension between Kyon and Haruhi is an important (and brilliantly directed) part of the narrative.
And Suzumiya comments on the nature of such anime as well.

Haruhi-Fanservice = Part of a Meta-Narrative
MCPW-Fanservice = *Edit* Soft-Porn

But I have to admitt, the limbo-scene is pretty BA. I loved it. But the UFO-Scene for example was really stupid. I think that some of the Fanservice-Scenes are good. They are funny and with a lot of attention to detail, but not arousing. The more explict scenes are the ones I don't find fitting with the style. */Edit*
