Just a few thousand copies under Love Live 2nd Season Vol.1 as of its 2nd week (97,587 copies). This is the power of event tickets, lol. Love Live 2nd Season Vol.1 ended up somewhere between 116,500~117,499 after 30 weeks (but it has 7 weeks of missing sales), so based on Osomatsu-san's progress, i'm guessing it'll end around 110K copies or so?

lol..don't even bother with him..he just want to bitch about every anime made by Madhouse..XD

looks like Owarimonogatari will have at least 20k average..

Why would somebody bitch about arguably the best studio?Madhouse produces quality animation and animes

If it was some unknown back alley sally anime.. then yeah its not a flop.
and also madhouse is FAR from the best studio.

I don't see what your point is?
All that matters, to the producers atleast, is the profit it made.

Popularity of the manga is not really relevant(which did get a huge boost).

Shueisha is one of the producers so the manga getting boost is relevant for them.

It's really crazy that Mr. Osomatsu sold more in its second week than every other Fall anime's volume sold overall (with the exception of Owari).

"Every now and then"? Yeah no, this kind of out-of-nowhere success is rather rare.

It opened at 13th, so I guess it grossed about 40 to 50 million Yen in the long run.

Almost 3k for the Steins Gate blu-ray box seems good. Hopefully SG0 manages to pull out healthy numbers unlike most sequels which come out 5 or more years after the first installment.
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

Based on the numbers of seats it should be about 40 million yen.

Impressive sales from Osomatsu.. Now I am curious with this show, to even come close to the sales of Love Live.. surely it must be also a megahit like µ's.

Will I enjoy this show if what I like is idol music? I'm actually willing to give this a shot after the impressive figures it gave.

Checking the weekly BD/DVD sales after a while, and wow, that Osomatsu sales is amazing, way beyond my expectation. Hopefully this gives Pierrot enough fund to make a Baby Step s3 or Akatsuki no Yona s2. xD
