I honestly think that braids should be reserved for girls only these days, but that's just conservative and backwards me. | I've had long hair for nearly 3 years now and have had my fair share of wearing some weird ass hairstyles... even braids; not Edward Elric style (although I got dared to do that by my sister so had to for a picture, haha) but I've worn half braids (hair on the top of your head pulled tight into a braid and the rest kept still... kinda like Thor). @Interrrrrpetgyu: Haha, I've had to pull a Khal Drogo too for a shot. |

| Let 'em do what the fuck they want. If a guy wants to have feminine hair, I say go for it, hopefully he takes care of it in the process. Long hair is a difficulty to manage so a braid, ponytail, or updo might actually simplify care. God knows whatever I do with my hair it always ends up back in a fucking knot again, no matter how hard I try. I respect guys who can breach norms of what might be considered to be 'super gay' because they like it. |

I've known so many guys who've confessed to always wanting long hair but were too scared of being ridiculed (and would in turn talk shit about any long-haired guys they came across) and it's just this huge, incredibly stupid cycle. Obviously that isn't the case for everyone, but life is too short, man. Anyway, if you're asking this question for your own sake, the bottom line is: do it, man. Braid that shit like you've got a date at 7am tomorrow. Can't please everyone, and if you like it, then that should be reason enough to try it out, at the very least. |
