Everything else feels really bland, even with the unique artstyle. I wouldn't call the anime bad by any means though. Perhaps it just wasn't what we were expecting. |

I know it is sort of an energy candy, but you don't really need it to run, though it would help. I felt it was a bit strange when Kokonotsu said he could not run without it. It #1 in Japan? That's a surprise. I don't really understand Japanese snacks. Listening to all these explanations by Hotaru was really confusing and strange. Maybe I should try them when I visit Japan. |

| The fugashi tasting contest was fun to watch. Lol all the lewd comments. Kokonotsu's dad walking in on him tied up and blindfolded was so funny. We need to see more of him. The run to get the notebook from the candy shop to the cafe was fun to see. Too bad Saya found the sketches in the end. |

| Episode lot of fun, this plot is really hilarious, I laughed a lot, especially with Hotaru and Kokonotsu throwing the fugashis in each other's mouths, besides Hotaru was fine with ponytail, I'm looking forward to the next episodes .. |

 Damn! Ponytails are the best! Hotaru looks sekushi cute with that ponytail! Thanks to first Shirayuki and now Hotaru, I think I've found a fondness for ponytails. The first half was good. Putting big cylindrical shaped objects in their mouths while blindfolded with hands tied behind.... Had some suggestive moments for sure. Lol when You-san entered and thought that there was some S & M play going on. The second half, for some reason, felt a bit down. I'm not sure why. Its had a rather stupid idea of using candies like energy boosts, I'm not sure if candies can work that way lol. It didn't quite feel upto the mark, the latter half. Not funny enough. But oh well, ponytail Hotaru sure made up for it. |

| Wow this episode was good, the Hotaru-ness was all around to see. I really love this girl, she's awesome. So much lewdness Ayame could be pleased. I was totally lost with the running part. I really did not get any of the math employed. The only thing I got though is that they both suck at running. THAT ending of the episode though. |

| Nice the first part of the narrative, with the discussion of Fugashi, even the second part looks good, but the reasons are different, there the fun thing to be found in the nonsense put to justify what is done. Drawings and animations good, not bad the glimpse scenographic, but I would like more pictures of the place. Hotaru is the best so far, Koko in lifts, now there are only Saya and the rest. |

| Another halarious episode with some suggestive fan service and overly dramatic situations. The first part had me literally looking around to make sure none of my family would walk in on that its so big, not so rough scene, like seriously Hotaru do you know what you are doing to Kokonotsu and us viewers! The second half was funny because well come on all that over dramatic you can do it Kokonotsu, run Kokonotsu, had me laughing at how they made it for him to go so far just for Saya to end up seeing his notebook and well beating poor Kokonotsu up. | Good to see Kokonotsu himself is allready as nutsu as Hotarou. He accepted that contest way too greedily and went all in on the caramel drama too. | When this show started, I thought Hotaru’s a kind of funny, quirky character, and maybe she’d work better in a different show, but man they’ve been trying to change my opinion of her. Ever since she’s just been a bland mouthpiece for dagashi, that the writers desperately want us to jerk off to. I think “Candy Wars” was probably this show’s last attempt at a joke. |
