Damn I knew changing the history won't be easy. I just really really really hope it will all work out in the end. Because shows like this? It always end fucked up it scars me. Also can't help get the steins;gate vibe from this. Must be from the time travel thing.

Figured it wouldn't be that easy, as soon as Koya said it was a promise to give the present to him ...

29 Years old and he doesn't understand shit about changing time lol, Ofc you can stop events for a later time but not permanently unless you keep trying until you fucking die lol, Just a guess :b

There's a lot of different theories on time travel / multiple time lines and what not.
Can't really blame him for it because in his eyes, he's been changing all those moments all the time (29y/o old Satoru)

The theory that you mention is the one used in Steins;Gate and in there the rules are that you can't change what's already happened, it will happen eventually.
I could go on about all this but that'd be too much to type, also I want to start the next episode :D

LMAO st Satoru himself that he's 29.

Thought Satoru was going to block the scum mom's swing, but it was his mom.

Satoru: You're pretty.

Me: My ninja!(You know the word)

Girl: OMG! Are they getting married now?

Me: Bitch! You skipping steps.

Boy: Idiot! They have to get engaged first.

Satoru grabbing and holding Kayo's hands 24/7 like a BOSS!

Kayo looking cute as she cries about not finishing Satoru's present.

The last promise.

Satoru didn't win. :(

O gah D: I was really really worried that it might only change the day of when Hinazuki disappears and not what happens Dx

Satoru's mom was badass there. Bless her.

Yeah, so it's confirmed that these are all just his memories returning. That spoiler tag I had placed on part of my post for episode 1 did turn out to be a good decision after all.

If Kayo had disappeared late at night after being escorted home by Satoru, then it's possible the killer may have been aware of her schedule. The only adults aside from her mom, her mom's boyfriend, and Satoru's mom who would have known that she would be among company (and safely assume that it'd last late into the night as typical of celebrations) would be the teacher.

I really really really like Fujinuma's friends, they're all so nice and accepting, it just warms my heart whenever they are on screen :)

Real sweet and precious episode. Satoru and Kayo are so cute together, they even went to school holding hands.
Satoru's mom went boss mode, deep that Kayo's mom must have been raging hard because it didn't go her way.

The moment Kayo put her scarf on Satoru <3

I thought that he fixed everything, now I'm "hoping" that her mother beat her, I can't believe I'm saying this.

5/5 what the heck

You can't afford to be happy for the characters in this kind of anime because those happiness will turn in to sadness in a blink of an eye.

Also the teacher gives me the heebie jeebies, i don't know why...

The way he's going about changing time might work for an accident, but not for a murder. Pretty dumb.

Really nice episode. It flew pretty fast. It is me or our MC is just stupider than all those kids? He behave like he is 8 or something, or even lower.

Yep, really dumb for a 29 yo man. He should be trying to identify the killer, not just messing with his friends.

Also, in the first EP it was said that when MC actually save someone then the future will be changed and he will "wake up" facing the consequences, sometimes negative for him.

And this time, he was still his 10yo and nothing happened. What did he expect? To live his live again from 10yo to 29yo?

In the original, there is an additional story about it.
And the purpose of MC is not just to save a mother.
There is an emphasis on his sense of justice, and his purpose is to save everyone.

He is not a detective.
He emphasized protecting children rather than pursuing criminals.

Also, this story is not a story that child use his strengths to the advantage that his mind is adults.
This story shows how to solve the case from the viewpoint of the children.

MC is not an excellent person. That's why it makes sense.
From child abuse, it is not 'grown-ups' or 'good-minded people' who can save a child.
Even young children, if they have a will, can save a child who is being abused.
This is an important message.

You made a good point about the morale of those episode and I really appreciate this message.

But still MC is acting like a kid, but we are supposed to believe his mind is 29. Am I right?

It is true that he is not an exceptional man.
What kind of childlike behavior does he do?

He is just a rude and emotional man.

Ofc not, HAHA. Cause if not it would disappoint a looot of pple xD, it's supposed to be mystery!!!

First off, the MC surely did a great job, preventing Kayo's mum from abusing her, and also sort of but not really prevented it happening on the Xday (it happened 2 days later, tho). But after all that, it's obvious that smthing would STILL happen to her, since it's still the 4th ep. The ending was predictable tho, knew it when they first said he was late. I'm excited for the other eps :), sad life to Kayo tho....

Tears almost rolled down my eyes when Hinazuki said she was preparing a gift for Satoru. I was sure that she would disappear again because if Satoru’s mission completes then the anime will come to end But this has 12 episodes

Damn, I saw this coming a mile away. If everything is going too well, something bad will happen in the end.
