Then Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne is some good dark fantasy anime.

If you liked Psycho-Pass, then Shinsekai Yori. SSY is darker than PP imo, but they're both very similar thematically speaking and in terms of plotline, except one has a cyber-punk setting and the other's just full of rural villages.

Black Lagoon - two seasons total 24 episodes plus one OVA - action, drama and violence

Mnemosyne: Mnemosyne ne Musemen tachi - 6 episodes - mystery, sci-fi, very violent and there is a yuri theme

Serial Experiments Lain - 13 episodes - Psychological story about the real world and the wired world

Shion no Ou - 22 episode - drama, murder mystery

+1 to pretty much everything suggested,and I would also recommend Madoka and White Album 2.WA2 may not be quite what you're looking for,but it's definitely dark and mature and chances are you'll like it.

EDIT:Just noticed you don't want romance.WA2 is romance,so not recommended.Sorry.
