Awesome stuff. Could well be AOTS, great OP and decent ED. The Animation and character designs are great and most of all it has an interesting story.

Nice. Plots different, the setting is perfect, and seems to have a pretty interesting cast. Have high hopes for this!

Hope the fight scenes get better!

I'm guessing not people know this based of a manga...? Either way first episode was pretty cool. The second episode will be one to look out for without spoiling anything.

Erm, I think this episode made it completely clear.

Perhaps a better question - robot or cyborg? Scientist dude seemed to have a deadish-looking daughter in his flashback.

The scientist at Mary's said her brain is part organic, but he was pretty clear that the rest of the body is 100% robot, just extremely sophisticated.

People, this is still January so let's refrain from saying "Anime of the Year" so lightly.

Overall, a very strong first episode and very promising setting.

Probably my favorite first episode so far, the pacing was excellent, the background and explanations quick and to the point, interesting characters, even the villain had some redeeming qualities and should provide some interest.

And always love the extreme power of a dogeza, the social equivalent of a tactical nuclear weapon.

True, but after the disappointing summer and fall seasons, where even the first episodes were bad, it is nice to start the new year out with a couple of intriguing shows.

Sort of good... Sort of bad, I dunno. The vibes it has is really erratic, I dig the sci-fi feel in this one but the loli... eh

That OP is just all the Hype!
Great episode, looking forward to nexts week´s. I like that we fintally get a MC that isnt like 14 years old and is a badass from the get-go.
this could become one of the stand-out shows this season.
I also like the concept of the W Dimension that is used as a free source of energy.
The energy aspect of this future seems utopic but the way some of the buildings look this future might have more problems than it first meets the eye.
Also, getting slapped twice,by the same person, in the first episode, great job Kyouma!

I honestly didn't have the biggest expectations for this one, but damn did I enjoy that episode :O

It's so interesting and definitely contender for the best of the season, also really looking forward to this studio and what they'll make in the future! c:

That dance was... something.

Good first episode, it has my attention without a doubt, too much fanservice in my opinion but is still enoyable. Looking forward to this one.

So, according to the visuals, people in 2036 finally found out that X axis can have negative values, named it W axis and harvested those negative values to have unlimited energy? Science, eh?

Looks like among cat-girls the new trend will be tailed girls.

Honestly I didn't expect this to be that good. If the story develops into something not that generic, this anime hopefully can be one of the better ones this season.
Hey!

Check Mononoke out!

It's only been 1 episode and j already want a 2nd seasons for this..

The start was really good. I'm definetly curious on what's going on in this show. The main character is also really cool, I like that. The robot girl was pretty cute too(although all those fan service angles..), but then there is that SLAP. I flinched whenever I heard it lol.

The art style is also really appealing, to me anyway, so that's a big bonus.

That was one hell of a bitch slap XD.
this show is indeed interesting, obviously i will keep watching this one.
and i just realize it that the girl, the robot girl, have something like a tail on her back.
robot with tail , nice combination :D.
the op and the ed was really good. looking foward to the next episode :D.

edit: and i kinda wondering too if she is a robot or a cyborg, wondering if she is his daughter. and he turned her into a robot.

That is a pretty good OP song. Like how Kyoma is dancing at the start.
His fighting abilities are pretty good.
Wonder why he hates coils so much. Guess we will find out later.
Mira is interesting and that tail.
ED song is not bad as well.

This was awesome! Reminded me of a mixture of Pyscho-Pass and Ghost in Shell. I can definitely see this become one of the best series of the season.

As first episodes go, this one was really awesome!

The ground story involving the coils is pretty interesting. I hope the reason behind Kyoma's hatred for the coils gets explained later in the series.

The OP song was great, helped out by Kyoma impressive dancing skills. =D

The visuals and animation was superb too. Great job from Studio 3Hz!

I find Mira pretty cute, but it still surprises me that she acts like a proper human, with the crying and all, but she's actually a 100% robot. Her bitch slap on Kyoma was priceless though! XD

I would say calling this show AOTS is a bit soon, however, if they can keep the pacing like this and as long as the story doesn't disappoint, then this show will be a great one. =D

I'm hoping this series doesn't get watered down, and turn into a typical mob/action anime.

Agreed

If anything I guess I was most impressed with the backgrounds and setting shots. Dialogue was very generic but let's see where this goes...

Great stuff. I like it. Second favorite show this season. A lot of sakuga animation (I heard its done by the http://myanimelist.net/people/5151/Mitsuo_Iso guy - one of the greatest animators). Diagonal transition!!

I've been interested in Dimension W since I happened to see the manga art, and boy I was right to be!
Much better than I was expecting, and I'm loving Mira and her slaps xD
I'm also liking the setting and Kyouma is super BA.

It's really a shame that this is only 1-cour :(

boring but not unbearably so, will give about 1-2 more episodes. im not into any of the characters so much so far. bg art is fantastic though; 3hz seems to excel in visual aspects like in sora no method.

A little disappointed with the first episode. The Structure of the Story felt quite bumpy. Artstyle and visuals are nice. 2-3 Scenes of unneeded fan service (zooms). It felt rushed although not bad. A solid 5/10

I'm surprised once again by how much I liked this episode.

The opening was amazing, so catchy. That little dance the main does is awesome, and the parts with the main fighting gives me a lot to look forward to.

I like the robot girl more than I thought I would once I got introduced to her. Although I doubt she will be my favourite, people with soft speaking voice actours usually aren't something I like. I love the main male character here though, his attitude is interesting. Wondering why he hates coils so much, and his history with the blonde guy. I like of like the techie they have, although I'm not sure we'll be seeing him a lot. Don't like the boss woman who lacks a chin, but she seems like an interesting character none the less.

I really like the art too. Robot girl's tail reminded me of H X H

Lots to like here, looking forward to the next episode.

Best first episode of the season for me. Visuals are great and I particularly like how vibrant the city looks. The mc seems like a cool guy as well, so this definitely has everything it needs to be excellent.
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

couldn't stop laughing during the opening, if kyouma had seen it someone would have died xD (that was so out of character even for him)

seems they cut most of the iddle dialogues and reworked some scenes to be more direct, which is good
this may be watchable

That was surprisingly good. I think this is going to be one of the better shows this season.

While the premise seems typical, the execution and the way the characters seem real draw me into the fictional world.

This has to be the most promising anime next to ERASED this season

Those dance moves at the OP though haha

Animation seems very fluid and I'm loving the MC already!
