OK so I watched first ep of the anime and it looks like the male Mc is gay. But then someone told me the teacher is really a girl and that the girl Mc is gay and male mc knows the teacher is a girl. I'm confused can someone tell me what is going on is this about gay love or straight love or both. Someone please tell me.

The teacher isn't a girl. He's def a male. It's a stupid fake-ass rumour some asshole in denial started. Haruta is gay but who the fuck cares. The story isn't about that, it doesn't even serve as a subplot. Mysteries, music, and Chika/Haruta relationship as friends is what it is important.
