It's got other stuff going on, but the relationship between Smile, Peco, & their coaches (+ the stuff with their rivals) was a pretty big part of the show (I haven't seen any of the other 'e' shows listed, but Eve no Jikan was really good btw! Go for the movie if you can though- it's got a few extra scenes added to it) Thanks so much! :) Looks like it'll be Eve no Jikan, I'll make sure to watch the movie. |

Might put it somewhere else just in case (you've got Joker Game for the historical/military/police one, and it's an all adult cast iirc, so you could swap them around) Thank you for your quick reply and help with thinking along, I'll switch them around. :) |

hello there! I need some recommendations. I need at least two 1-cour or one 2-cour anime on these: Watch an anime recommended to you by another Anime Watching Challenge participant Watch an anime that another user has watched for this challenge I already ask a long time ago and sadly I rejected them all (except for Dennou Coil). I'm not really picky, I'm just having problems with 'interest'. I prefer something with Comedy OR in the Seinen category (but NOT both in one title). Also, do not recommend me shounen, for now. Recommend me as many as you can (but not too many, though). I will just use my own process of elimination. |

Hello, Looking for a recommendation. I want something that doesn't have a school setting; would prefer adult characters (teenagers are fine as long as its not school-based). I like shounens with subtle hints of romance. Feel free to recommend me multiple anime :-) Also, 1-2 cour preferred. |

I have almost finished my challenge, but I recall asking a question early after I signed up, but I cannot find this post anymore and I cannot remember if I ever received an answer. Is Boku Dake ga Inai Machi (Erased) valid for an anime that requires children as the main cast? I have no idea how much of the cast is required to be a child, seeing as most anime have casts with a variety in age. For the life of me, I cannot find a different anime with too many children under the age of twelve (I think that was the limit) that aren't harem or ecchi, and I absolutely do not want to watch anything of the sort. Everything I found thus far is either lewd or aimed primarily at men with... needs. I'd prefer something in the vein of Boku Dake ga Inai Machi as the children were very realistically portrayed and carried themselves with a sense of adventurous maturity, and where not too many girl-characters are present (but if they are, they must be generally realistic portrayals). Can anyone help or verify that this anime is okay to use? |

@jet2r0cks anything they completed @Lestat- can't be used for that item, everyone marked as "main" should be 12 years old or younger. For that item it has been pretty popular Non Non Biyori, a lot of people used it. I can recommend the one I used that was Gake no Ue no Ponyo (a movie). Besides that one there are several movies I can't remember, Gakuen Alice and so on.... You can get a decent idea if you have the time to check some forms from the main post ;D |

I thought majority would be fine. What about Hanamaru Youchien? The three main kids are preschoolers but their teachers are also listed as main characters. EDIT: One more thing - when you say highly rated, highly rated in general (MAL average) or highly rated by the user? |

I have skimmed through the actual sign-up list, and have noticed that a lot of people have Boku Dake ga Inai Machi listed for this particular item. @SheyCroix, you as the creator of the challenge say you have listed Gake no Ue no Ponyo, but there are three children and four adults listed in the cast. This item just confuses me majorly as for many anime, you also cannot be certain of people's ages. |

@jet2r0cks highly rated (10, 9, 8) by the user @Lestat- For this particular item » Watch an anime with children as the main cast i.e. 12 years old or younger As I said, it's only the main cast. Those that are marked as "Main" in the Characters & Voice Actors section. This concerns only those. Those are the ones that need to be 12 years or younger. As for ERASED yes, a lot of people have tried to use it, but when I check they have to change it since it's not valid. It was discussed why some months ago in this thread. [edit] Also, you are right that sometimes we can't tell how old they are so we go by how they look, act and/or are refer as in the anime. Just to make an example https://myanimelist.net/anime/74/Gakuen_Alice https://myanimelist.net/anime/6574/Hanamaru_Youchien Gakuen qualifies since the 4 MC's are kids. Hanamaru wouldn't qualify since from it 5 MC's, two are adults. |

So this challenge: ✖ Watch an anime by a director/composer/studio you don't know: What does "not knowing" really mean in this sentence? For example: - Not having seen any anime from a certain director or studio? - Never really heard or read about a certain director or studio? I honestly never got involved with names from studios or directors, except for the most well known ones, Ghibli or lets say an actor HanaKana. Would love some info on the matter. |
