| It's a bit of a dated thread - but there's a good chance to find such hatchets 'out of the box' - because the hatchet Rena is using is practically a japanese *Nata* - a rather common tool. The spike might be the biggest issue here, because while there are variants of those too, modern natas are industrially made and often have a slightly different, modern shape: https://hidatool.com/item/1893 Also; modern natas are typically not as big as the one Rena uses - so practically pretty much be exactly what OP wanted - finding older ones or new, handcrafted ones in an older style might be complicated outside Japan though. It's rather unlikely that you'll find those in online-shops. But in theory every blacksmith who does custom builds and handcrafts should be able to forge one. So there shouldn't be any need to look for items from Japan to begin with. Just find a blacksmith who does commissions and show them what you want... $75,- might actually be quite right for a nata like in the anime - at least for a deco replica - if you want it as a real, high-quality tool with a porper hilt I'd say you might get it in original size commissioned for 85-100,- |
