Again, that animation, I love you Bones. This is how should it be done. Without 3DCG and other shit. Thank you.

You're joking right? The animation was god awful.

Yeah, I agree, the animation quality has really gone down as the season has progressed. At some points I actually would have preferred to read the manga instead of this choppy animation, because the artwork there is really goddamn pretty.

They already did, but it looks like they're going to end in similar way that manga went.

I suppose they want to end the season with a big bang which is why they made these changes. I still don't like the changes though.

As much as I love this show the cliffhangers are fucking cruel. And they sure mislead us when they said they needed a human to bring back people from the underworld >_>

Anyways, awesome episode as always, sad to see that it's ending next week.

So many cliffhangers. But a great episode once again. This season has been packed with explosives, too bad it's going to end next week for hell knows how long :(

I really like the part that they animated how Hiyori called for Yato with his real name finding it out on her own instead of being told, smart girl :D

Actually there is. But if they had done 24 episodes they wouldn't have had a good ending. Because they would be half way through a new arc. Instead of finishing an arc with only 13 eps.

bishamon vs the lightning dragon felt a little bit forced. i mean thats a god damn dragon - made of electricity - , how can some third class human earring vessel beat it?

also i don't think they will show us a satisfying season final - looks like cliffhanger end or "pressed" content

¬¬ Kazuma is a fucking Blessed Vessel, not a third class earring, while the "dragon" it's not a blessed vessel. it's simple as that

As Daikoku said, that lightning dragon was Kiun, Takemikazuchi's Regalia. Kazuma is a blessed vessel, so it's not that weird that he could overpower him. By the way, Kazuma is far from a "third class human earring vessel", he's probably the strongest Regalia in the series right now (at least, in the anime).

That episode... just so awesome.
Am I the only one who feels kinda sad for Nora?
I mean she clearly must have some feelings for Yato as shown in the previous episodes.
Whilst I don´t really liked the bad things she did before, doesn´t she at least deserve a second chance, just like Bishamon? (although she got 2 second chances)

  • Hiiro is forgotten. Is she still down there or not? Manga readers know but for the people who only watched the anime???
  • That little dramatic scene between Yukine and Yato while they're still in the middle of battle lol. I feel like that butchered further character/relationship development for them.
  • Yukine suddenly becoming OP after a month or so of training under Kazuma. What's with that one?

I guess they just needed to fill stuff in for time..

Oh well. Bones tried. We'll just have to see how they'll clean this all up in the next episode.

I'm pretty that they will at least

just like last season, and is also understandble why they would show more awesome action involving Yukine since that is the last time it will happen this sesaon and, well, they gotta have some cool shit to sell the anime.

That's what I'm saying. Basically. I know there is about 20 chapters of manga spare, so you sure could do 13 episodes. But we're currently totally in a middle of an arc, so to make it reasonable they would need to finish anime before the current arc started, and that leaves us with too little chapters for 12-13 eps.

I know you're trying to be sassy but there's more that goes into good animation other than fluid movement. This poorly drawn frame is enough, especially because the episode was littered with them.

Intense episode. So, Yato's real name is Yaboku? Well, Yato may thanks the japanese language for its kanjis xD. I actually felt bad for Izanami when she says that she is alone again :( And poor Nora, she's left in the Underworld alone, I wonder what will happen to her.

Poor Ebisu, I don't really want him to die ;_; That cliffhanger was too much.

Great episode. Yato's real name is Yoboku. Well he finally got out of the Underworld.
Did he drop Nora?
Bishamon and Kazama taking on that dragon was awesome.
These Heaven's Punishers mean business. Going in for a execution kill for Ebisu.
Final episode next week. Cannot wait.

Nora literally got the side-chick treatment this episode: as soon as true waifu called Yato's real name, a bitch was all but forgotten. I almost feel sorry for her.

This plot is really incredible, very emotions and great battles in this episode, Yato showed an overwhelming power with Yukine and I'm curious to know what happened to Hiiro, just one more episode, but I expect a great end to this adaptation ..

The last season, I didn't mind. The last few episodes made for good additions, imo. This season's pacing felt a bit different. I agree, though, that it has to end with some sort of Yukine action to sell and stuff. Oh well. Fine by me lol Just hoping for a good wrap-up :3

All the changes in this episode... but I don't hate them. Especially when it keeps giving you hope like "Oh, Ebisu might just survive!" and then the next moment the ring appears beneath his feet and everyone's like "OH SHIT". I recall the manga version was pretty anti-climatic, so this one was actually better.

Also, Yukine being OP

What I didn't like, though, was the bit where Yukine began to shout at Yato. It just felt... out of place, and their conversation didn't even get resolved thanks to Heaven's chemical bomb.

That was an awesomely intense episode!! The animation did kind of take a dip after Yato came back but all in all it was really great, Bishamon's fight against Izanami and then Takemikazuchi were badass!! I definitely look forward to the finale next time.

Great episode, I loved it.
Yaboku eh? Think I was expecting something cooler xD. It's still a nice name

Yukine's become quite strong, Wow :o .

I actually felt sad that Izanami is alone again, Wonder if they actually left Nora behind as well.

Ah, even though he suck in battle, Ebisu can rock too. Too bad it seem like the end for him :|
Well, until he reincarnate, but still, I don't think he'll be free after reincarnation. They'll probably put pressure on him.

Even though they are a bunch of hyprocrit scum, the lightning dude was pretty badass. And so was Bishamon ponytail. Damn, yo, she look just fine.

Hiyori calling Yato name just made me go ''awwwwn''. So cute. Poor Yato, he still don't know he got NTR'ed by a generic highschool boy.

So Yato's real name is Yaboku, I wonder if we'll get an explanation soon as to how Hiyori figured that out (or maybe it'll come way later, idk).

It was literally 'show not tell'. She saw that Yato was super happy with the shrine she made for him and didn't say anything about how she wrote his name on the shrine. Meaning, even though Yato isn't his real name, she wrote it correctly. Since Japanese is a dumb and confusing language, words can be read different ways. So, in essence, what you can get from that is that Hiyori wrote 'Yato' on the shrine, but it can also be read as 'Yaboku'

Thanks for this. I was confused at first.

Seems like I'm not alone in feeling bad for Izanami. What a lonely existence.
Bishamon(and Kazuma) being a badass again! Always good stuff.

One episode left, unfortunately. I'm going to miss this one, as it was one of the few good shows this season.

On Yukine confronting Yato at such a bad time: in the manga, he confronts him AFTER the arc, once everything has been resolved. I understand they had to put it there so that they could fight together against the Pacification Ring (which doesn't happen in the manga either) but, as you all said, they need to sell the anime.

Not this, that's for sure.

So you are talking about art? Well art is great too, anyway still frames are bad for rating art and animation.
Ps, there is nothing wrong with this screen, of course it is not a masterpiece, but this scene took around 3 second, so, ekhm...
Noragami is one of the best looking series from this season or even year.
Only one series looks better in this season, Owari no Seraph (this is masterpiece If it comes to art and animation in general)
