Good week to be an SnK and OPM fan :)

Expected of SnK, but OPM is beating my expectations. Second week of volume 10 on par with Haikyuu (slightly more actually), all the volumes in the top 10 and volume 1 broke 1 million. Not bad...
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

Mitsuru Adachi still writes the same baseball manga over and over again lol

Weird how the OPM volumes didn't rank last week when the cut was 19k and now some of them sold more than 30k

LE sales for SNK have collapsed. Bad thing for Kodansha but good thing for trackers since the RE will account for over 95% of the sales. Let's see how leggy this one will be.

Actually, looking at how volume 15 fared last year at this time it seems the total sales also dropped by almost 200k. If I remember correctly, volume 17 started more slowly than its counterpart as well, so I guess it seems rushing to buy the volume isn't a thing anymore.

42. *27,447 *,193,408 Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji Vol.14

Fab to see Ookami still selling well, likewise the Mahouka manga adaptations. Otoyomegatari selling well as is Prison School, boost showing for the latter and will continue to in the coming weeks.

Isn't the LE not that enticing this time though? Not an OVA or something, think it's a chibi figure though could be wrong (probably am). Could be less of a print run for it as well.

Indeed. Volume 17 started slowly but ten weeks later it was above volume 15. Hopefully Volume18 will follow the same pattern.

I agree with fallendesire, the limited edition is not a ova, its some figurine if I'm correct, so not much people are interested in that. Hence low number in limited edition. All the better for the regular edition.

Yeah, I added in that post that this one might have a leggy run. But that's mostly for the RE though, the LE is definitely falling. But that's not surprising, vol. 12 & 13 LEs sold so much because they had those bundled OVAs which are obviously a better draw than the stickers that these latest ones have. That'll change when s2 comes along.

I think vol. 18 will be lagging behind 17 until the New Year week when it'll be bumped back to the same level (most manga generally sell a lot that week that along with the two other main Japanese holidays, Obon festival and Golden week).

Rebroadcast?
Hmm, I wonder if this means the second season will come in the summer. It would make sense.

Actually it may still happen in spring as it follows right after the rebroadcast which will end in March due to 2 eps each week and 3 episodes on the final week.http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2015/12/11/nhks-bs-premium-to-air-attack-on-titan-tv-anime-from-january-2016

So after five days (RE only):
*1. 1,010,545 1,011,559 Shingeki no Kyojin Vol.15
*1. *969,743 *,969,743 Shingeki no Kyojin Vol.18
Volume 15 had a better start but not by much.

For Haikyuu!!:
*3. 236,318 *,603,815 Haikyuu!! Vol.18 (9 days )
*3. 250,982 *,621,338 Haikyuu!! Vol.19 (10 days)
While s2 failed to increase the sales, it at least helped them stabilise (they had been dropping lately).

*2. 253,459 *,543,400 One Punch-Man Vol.10 (9 days)
This is probably going to be at HQ/TG/AC level soon.

29. *32,666 *,745,040 One Punch-Man Vol.9
30. *32,068 *,834,077 One Punch-Man Vol.7
32. *30,782 *,818,121 One Punch-Man Vol.8
34. *29,932 1,016,243 One Punch-Man Vol.1
38. *28,451 *,946,587 One Punch-Man Vol.2
43. *27,286 *,894,482 One Punch-Man Vol.3
44. *27,145 *,831,255 One Punch-Man Vol.6
48. *26,306 *,871,927 One Punch-Man Vol.4
50. *25,296 *,845,999 One Punch-Man Vol.5

Great to see that vol. 1 has topped 1 million units :D

16. *47,630 *,657,606 Orange Vol.5
35. *29,751 *,615,016 Orange Vol.1
41. *27,840 *,579,847 Orange Vol.2
45. *26,704 *,655,569 Orange Vol.3
47. *26,471 *,670,275 Orange Vol.4

The live action movie is doing wonders to this one. This is now the fifth week with all five volumes on the list.

Shingeki no Kyojin domination~

I'm somewhat surprised at Major 2nd's ranking there. Maybe I should give the series a try soon. Otoyomegatari is only 1 rank under the top 10. I hope it makes it onto the list soon.

Nope pre :re TG never sold over 500k in its second week. It only started to happen after the second season aired which was shown by :re volume 2 selling over 600k in its second week.

You have Natsume Shingo himself is doing the directing and the storyboard for this episode, I think you can be assured that it will be as epic as in the manga.

Damn, that seem's to be selling pretty good. And that makes me HAPPY, this is one of my all time fav manga's. I know it doesn't matter here for sales but I buy atleast two copies of each volume as they release here and cannot wait to own Volume 2 soon.

Mitsuru Adachi still writes the same baseball manga over and over again lol

B-b-but 26 years later! That means they'll use smartphones instead of normal ones now!

What are you talking about!? Nothing beats a flip phone!!! But, the art looks the same as 20 years ago, I saw those same character design on Touch and Cross Game.

I'm hoping after the final episode of junior high, we get more info on season 2. A trailer would be nice.*crosses fingers.*

Here's your season 2 trailer :^)
