There are a lot of chairs in ep 1 when madoka wakes up her mom, i thought well ok. weird. but then i saw it again in this hospital where sayaka was visiting this guy, and then again in ep 9 when kyubey was talking to madoka. I read about it on the web that it means something like dead audience watching, but for real? i mean why would there be so many chairs in her moms room? does anyone know what those chairs are supposed to simbolize?

It's a reference to another misery-porn anime called Bokurano. There's no deep meaning behind it.

In Bokurano each chair is linked to a particular doomed child who is about to give up their life in defence of the earth. So yes, you could say that the chairs represent previous magical girls.
"Burn this sight into your minds. This is what it means to be a magical girl."

If you watch Bokurano, it will become much more clearer. Bokurano is basically (spoiler ahead) about kids having to fight and sacrifice their lives, being something like tricked into this by a mascot type being as well. One chair per one child, 15 in total. Madoka was heavily inspired by Bokurano, thus the reference in the anime itself.
