| Lol, this thread. I start to recognise the stars of CD. As for the question - I try to avoid it nowadays. It's rarely interesting, mostly silly (can't care about pantsushots anymore), I've seen most of the cliche's of this genre, and in the end it makes the events less believable and takes time away from more interesting things. I am fine with fanservice in a good story, but a story made for fanservice is not my cup of tea. |

| My problem with ecchi is that usually.. there's nothing else to it just than the anime being ecchi. I watch anime to enjoy myself, aka having a good plot or good humor etc etc. And if it's just about the visual aspect I could just google ecchi or pictures if I would want to have that kind of visual aspect. So in short: I don't mind ecchi as long as the anime fulfills my criteria and doesn't ridicule the ecchi parts. Examples of what I wouldn't watch "Oni-chaaaann" *unneeded jumping up and down to show boobs or tripping to show ass.* On the other hand I wouldn't mind an occasional *sexy scene* rawch. |

| it depends, in general I drop it if it has a lot, but sometimes it just doesn't bother me at all like in fruit of grisaia and it's sequels. I think what bothers me about it is not the fanservice, but the characters reactions to it. |
| That screentime wasted on ecchi should have been used for characterization/plot. It's a complete waste of time. Seeing pantyshots or pieces of censored breasts instead of a character's crying face gets OLD. If I wanted anime-porn I'd watch hentai. Not something that teases you to get a "boner" but doesn't scratch beyond the surface to keep it PG. |

| Eh. I always kinda think 'why ecchi with females when I can just actually watch or read a yuri or hentai or something?' If you're gonna go then go all the way; there's no need for constant teasing of pantyshots and tits jiggling; just make it a pornhub animated special or something already. Ecchi with males, though I don't think I've really seen any, would probably be the same. Sometimes I'll give a show labeled 'ecchi' a chance though. I just really prefer a good solid show instead of a bunch of stuff that's meant to be fuel for someone out there or something. If your show is solid, then you can add the tits or female pandering if you want to, in my opinion. When shows depend on tits or female pandering to sell and they don't have a solid story, I lose interest. |
