The whole thing, even if you don't particularly like to read. Because no, there is no anime series for Chiru, and there most likely never willl be. And you haven't finished the story if you haven't experienced Chiru. So that means you need to read the visual novel if you want to complete Umineko... or maybe the manga. But if you're gonna read anything then it might as well be the VN since that's the best anyway. (even if you like the manga style and content, you miss out on the music which is a huge deal for Umineko) It's great to hear that you want to see what happens next in the story, so if you want to continue with it, check out the VN. Regardless of whether the anime adaptation is poor or not (I've personally only heard things and seen small bits and pieces of it), I feel bad for people who watched it and just stopped right there. You only saw half of the story! And that's as much as you'll get if you refuse to look into the VN or manga. ... Well there's that light novel as well, but as far as I know that's not translated at all. |
