| I guess I technically am an otaku since in Japanese it's literally just someone who is obsessed with something (it's seen as nerdy I think). And I get obsessed over things really easily -- youtubers, books, movies, songs, languages, and anime too. But I am most definitely not a NEET, I'm in high school and I have a job |

| Otaku - Shut-in who stays home as much as possible and rarely goes outside to do things. NEET - Not in employment, education or training. What makes me none of the above: I go to school (though I'm reluctant) and I leave the house. |

| Most people are surprised when they find out I actually watch anime because I don't conform to these negative stereotypes. Also, I feel like all this thread will cause is bragging... Oh well I'm a year round athlete trying to get a D1 scholarship for Track and Field I go out often and actually have friends I talk to girls and girls talk to me(dating obviously as well) I'm not obsessed with Japanese culture, only watch anime. Don't own any of figurines or cosplay or speak Japanese or do anything like that and I'm interested in the other aspects like computers that much either. I could go on... |
