| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- I was uncomfortable with stories about talking food as a kid, making things we end up consuming seem like they had minds of their own. But I like the idea here that being eaten is 'living', and as providing 'a bit of light' to people something worth existing for. (On that note, I suppose one reason why this is so charming is that it uses features of a childrens' book, to tell its story in a unique way.) |
