| I think it's someone who has seen less than, say, 250 anime and whose majority of the anime they've seen is mainstream anime/most popular anime. If they've seen more non-mainstream than mainstream anime and over 250 anime then I'd no longer call them casuals. |

| Do people more commonly associate a casual with time spent watching anime, or just taste of anime. Because tbh someone who has watched 300days can still have really bad taste, and someone who has watched like 10 anime, but has very elitist tendencies. Idk imo I more so think on taste over view count, but that's my opinion. |

| Only thing I think makes a causal is only seeing a select few anime. Liking naruto, bleach, tg etc shouldn't determine it. |
