Year 19 - Some sort of war. (referenced in episode 3) Year 29 Nov - Invisible Kaiju (Jiro?) appears and burns tokyo, Emi chooses to appear as an adult, Jiro's father finds him naked and unconscious. Year 34 Jan - Tokyo attacked by giganto gon which breaks Jiro out of the laboratory where he's held, Jiro wants Giganto Gon to destroy everything. Robot giganto gon killed by Rainbow Knight and saves Jiro, calls himself an ally of justice. Baby gon meets his human "brother". Year 38 March - Rainbow Knight kidnaps Daitetsu Maki and other superhuman kids, to protect them and/or gain money for their release. Jiro asks Emi to find rainbow knight after he kidnapped kids. Jiro finds him dead engulfed by fire. Year 38 - young people demanding for harsher control of superhumans during the Daitetsu Incident times. Year 40, July - Judas is part of the criminal organization, The Diamond Eaters, beaten by Earth-chan and goes to prison. Year 41, Jan - Grosse Augen appears for the first time in fukushima and is know as a kaiju vanquisher. Year 41, June - concert at nippon budoukan awakens superhuman powers in large numbers of young people Year 41, July - Mahou Shoujo Kikko joins Bureau // Grosse Augen leaves earth. kaiju appearances on the rise Year 41, Aug - Ghost Fuurouta joins Bureau and unknowingly kills the tartaros bug species. Year 41, Nov - nihon kaiju denpa incident, humans confirmed as creating Kaijus. Mini-GaGon and Kaiju-lovers introduced as Fuurota's friends. Year 42, Feb - Detective Shiba meets Meiko Year 42, Apr - "Master Ultima back from mars", US planning on using kaiju for military purposes. Nihon kaiju denpa incident seemingly resolved when Jiro destroys the factory. Year 42, July - Master Ultima's space beasts have been reproduced for military. beast dies at US base in okinawa, carcass stolen. Year 42, Summer - Earth chan stood with the protesters and sent away Mater Ultima and his army of beasts who tried to visit Japan, the beasts are the ones who called Earth chan. The public's view shifted from against using beasts for war. Year 42, Aug - Megagon is created from stolen carcass, and rampages and kills humans during student rally, Jiro forced to become a Kaiju, faces off against Mega GaGon Mega GaGon killed. Year 42 Sept - Explosion at immortal families house (caused by themselves most ;likely to send a message to the other immortal and the Americans), they steal the ambulance and disappear. Year 42, Oct - Fuurouta goes undercover as an assistant at sugimoto productions. Year 42, Oct - The superhuman Bureau recruits Judas after his release from prison. Face off against Earth-chan and try to get her aid in changing public opinion to sway protests against Japan joining the Earth Defense Force (against evil space-men). Earth-chan is given the ability to dream. Ullr (Kikko's familiar) plots with Emi, Kikko is confirmed to be tasked with becoming a ruler in this dimension by her superiors. Year 42, Nov- onaga confectionery/SugiPro/imperial ad agency plan to sell chocolate laced with superhuman-factor suppressing drug Nainorin is foiled by Mountain Horse. Year 42, Dec - Kikko goes to the doctor, he knows about her being from the devil realm. Year 43, Jan - Daitetsu Maki, now Otonashi Yumihiko and the other kidnapped kids (presumably) are an unregistered superhuman group, BL Club, who stage thefts by "The Eye of Lucifer", Rainbow Knight's old nemesis. Superhuman Bureau's Akita is asked to stop opposing the Defense Force of Earth as a favor for recovering rainbow knight and lucifer items. Year 43, April - Jaguar comes from the future to do his mission, but learns the Another Jaguar comes from the future for his mission but is caught by Kikko, Jaguar (Akira) fights with Jiro and is then killed by the original Jaguar but the original doesn't die cause Kikko had done professor Hitoyoshi create time travel with his time watch creating a paradox. Year 43, June - Phantom Sword claude destroys a US master ultima submarine and reveals (probably trough imperial ad agency) they were using superhuman as experiments, US and Japan gov deny it. Year 43, August - claude has made an appearance since then and someone calls over Kikko to a hospital where claude is. After seeing all the dead bodies she transforms into her witch mode and claude says she knows who he is. Claude is revealed to be Jin, Jiro's childhood friend. Golubaya Laika (from the soviet union?) is ambushed by Master Ultima when he crosses the border without permission. Rainbow Knight was setup as a criminal for the superhuman bureau to start up. Jiro is called to a place by Claude, hears that his father was behind the rainbow knight death, the superhuman bureau's leader Akita announced dead to the public. Year 43 OctStudent uprising across the globe against the gov. Claude lead the students again the revised superhuman bill. Claude/Jin fight Jiro, Jiro loses control and beats Jin, but Jin uses his powers with his broken helmet (which amplifies his powers) which makes him lose control and accidentally kill himself. Judas, Detective Shiba, mountain horse etc... help Jiro who's lost control and Emi seals his powers back to normal. Daitetsu joins the police's side. Earth chan is broken during the riots. Kikko's true witch form is transformed into a tiger yokai by Emi, and the good Kikko persona is back. Akita kills the Japanese minster and takes his body over, and goes against the revised superhuman bill. Jiro leaves Bureau. year 44 - Kaiju craze wears down. Year 44 Sept - The Americans agree to send the one immortal back, but also secretly sends a robot, called bio destroyer, that releases molecule destroying chemicals to kill them, immortals survive and disappear, robot destroys itself. Year 44, Oct - Fuurouta meets fugitive Jiro, who has come to see Mountain Horse. Jiro confirmed to be gathering superhumans to his cause . Year 46, Apr - Kikko confronts fugitive Jiro Year 47, Feb - Former Detective Shiba stopped by Jiro while Megasshin, a robot with a profound sense of justice, is born from two other robots. Year 47, April - Judas, Jirou, and Megasshin break into Ikuta laboratory Annex to retrieve Earth-chan's stasis/broken down form, vowing to return her to her former glory. Year 47, Oct - Jirou fights Yoshimura ( "Jaguar") after finding mass dead bodies of beasts(?), restored Earth-chan intervenes for Jiro, and Daitetsu for Jaguar. Year 48, Aug - Fuurouta attacked by Campe, learns about what he really did and saved by Jiro. The 25th Century - Jaguar goes back in time to destroy the criminals who call themselves "The Advocates of Free History". Returns from the past, hinted that superhumans now exist in the future. |

| It would be nice if it was updated with real war event references. As an example the war in Shinka 19 is Showa 19(1944) war better known as WW II(namely the year that hiroshima happened) and the robot who returned in 47 is based upon a real person) and this: Year 41, June - concert at nippon budoukan awakens superhuman powers in large numbers of young people is about the famous The Beatles concert in japan. Pretty much majority of events portrayed in the show are based upon real life history. Yes even the Gagon assassination via a train had a real life basis A lot of the show requires real life history(ex: okinawa occupation which was mentioned in the EP with gagon) to understand the motivations and actions of characters in the stories. |

Not many real world events I can think of that should could use there. The more notable event would be Yukio Mishima's(AKA the writer after whom GITS SAC 2nd GiG mentioned fictional writer Patrick Sylvestre was based upon) try at coup d'etat, taking the commander of japanese self-defense force hostage and Mishima's subsequent suicide. Then we also have the gas explosion in the subway construction in Osaka which killed 79 people and left 400 injured. Osaka also happens to be the prefecture in which 1970 World Expo Fair was held. |
