| If the fact that Rurutie and Anju have a common topic, and that Anju now knows how commoners (well, as far as you can count several princesses living in the best inn in town and having the general of the right come over just to say hello now and then as "commoner"..) live etc, that nothing is for free and a lot of hard work..if all that comes back at some point and she makes decisions like whether to start a war or something (though the emperor apparently isn't stepping down any time soon anyways..), then this episode really had character development. If she's just a side character thats now and then mentioned and remains a spoiled child and aloof princess, then it was just filler, including the whole official "heir reveal". I also highly doubt that the fact that Munechika likes fujoshi plays any further role..so that was just "pandering to the audience" as so pointingly expressed above. Surprised they didn't manage to squeeze in some bath time with sake. And maybe they can pick up another princess along the way... At some point there has to be reason why all the supposed action starts, i just hope they don't cut that short (or the action itself) because they ran out of time like some series did.. |

| absolutely one of the worst episodes of anime to ever exist. this series is dead to me. absolute garbage throughout. i got halfway through the episode while banging my head against a wall before i decided to just skip the damn thing altogether. i have never been so disappointed. |
