| This is true. Not only are all the visual elements at the hands of the illustrators, but there are less visual elements on a 2D body than on a 3D body. That's less stuff to get right, which means it's simple enough to make a "perfect" 2D body. |

| I just came to this realization like a day or two ago. I saw the animation of Free and Stride, and I was like....damn! 2D guys are gorgeous! I have rarely seen real life men look as beautiful. Not counting the 90% altered faces of men in KPOP. But honestly, my opinion really changed when I thought about how the characters look in comparison to their real life counterparts. I have seen what Japanese people would call a real life bishounen...and yeah....75% of the time it's a no, and 100% of the time the person who plays the character in real life does not look nearly as good. |

| I mean this is simple to settle. 3D people, post a pic of a person you consider more beautiful and/or attractive than any 3D character. Then we can compare. My bet is on 2D winning because it exaggerates the most beautiful features in humans. Perfect skin, shiny, big eyes, perfect body proportions. This is true for males or females. No real man could ever beat the best looking, coolest 2D man. I mean, they are legendary beloved characters for a reason. The argument isn't that there aren't good looking 3D people. That's preposterous, 3D are gorgeous a lot of the time but still loses to 2D I'd say. |
