| As expected! Kingdom is at #1. I'm not caught up to kingdom yet, but I was sure I heard this series got a time skip. Was imagining them to look a bit older, I guess the time skip was small. Also only one volume made it in the top 50 for OPM. The fans won't be happy about that. |

Actually, volume 40 was released on 18th so it has been out for 8 days and volume 39 sold 391,171 copies in 9 days so the gap isn't that huge but its still better than before. That's interesting. 76 still has over 100k more copies sold though. *1. 414,826 *,420,275 Kingdom Vol.40 *1 547,727 Kingdom If vol.40 follows the same curve as other volumes which had 7 days accounted for their first week (like vol.37), then it will sell aroung 95k next week (90-100k). This means that it will reach 600k before leasing list which is very impressive. The backlog sales didn't really have a particularly noticeable rise even with the release of the new volume which means that Kingdom has reached saturation. *2. 239,647 *,487,852 Nanatsu no Taizai Vol.17 *1. 245,122 *,543,609 Nanatsu no Taizai Vol.14 Vol.14 sold 50k more copies than Vol.17 in their respective first three days but only 5k more copies than it in their second weeks. This means that vol.14 is effectively leggier than vol.17 and may end up selling just as much or a little less than vol.14 when all's said and done. I wouldn't even be surprised if it sells more than the 91k that 14 sold in week 3. This is probably because the casual fans aren't in as much of a hurry to buy the newest volume as when the anime had just ended, but they haven't dropped the manga nonetheless so the sales are more gradual. It's still surprising that after 10 days, NNT has sold only 57k more than Kingdom did in 7 days. I wonder whether Kingdom might be more frontloaded than expected. 44. *19,076 *,586,685 One Punch-Man Vol.9 *7 144,394 One Punch Man This is more or less the same as last week which is amazing. Correct me if I'm wrong, not to mention it will have 3 more weeks worth of missing sales for the last 3 weeks. While kingdom only has 1 week of missing sales. Let's say that 1 week missing sales was 100k in back log, that would put kingdom currently at 7.9 million. With only 3 weeks left, I believe kingdom will sell 8.3 million overall. With snk, which will have missing sales around 6 to 7 weeks, I believe it will also be at around 8.3 to 8.4 million. This is just a guess, since snk could be missing even more weeks than I thoughts. So yea its going to be close. |
