Nice Kingdom. Season 3 please.

I wonder if Minamoto will get an anime adaption.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

As expected! Kingdom is at #1. I'm not caught up to kingdom yet, but I was sure I heard this series got a time skip. Was imagining them to look a bit older, I guess the time skip was small.

Also only one volume made it in the top 50 for OPM. The fans won't be happy about that.

Ayyyyyye, Kingdom and Nanatsu on top with 400k. Congrats Nakaba and Yasuhisa. Now can we please get an anime remake for Kingdom, to make up for that CGI cringe fest we got.

I'm really glad to see Kingdom, Magi and Baby Steps doing well! Hopefully 3rd seasons are on the horizon!

Edit: and Chihayafuru too. Can't believe I forgot it.

Good, One Piece is still in top 5 after 4 weeks.
And glad that Vol.79 sells better than Vol.78 and Vol.77:
Vol.77 ← 2,591,128 (4 weeks)
Vol.78 ← 2,588,440 (4 weeks)
Vol.79 ← 2,647,923 (4 weeks)

So, Kingdom boost is still strong, huh.

One thing to note about Kingdom is the sales are over the course of a full 7 days. So even though it may look massive, next week will be a significant decrease. Volume 40 may not even sell 100k next week. However, for reference, Kingdom's volume 39 sold about 350k in 9 days, so this is a nice little boost over its previous volume, despite having two fewer days worth of sales .

However, the backlog boost is pretty much done. Volume 40 will likely drive Kingdom as much as the backlog sales do. At this point, it doesn't seem very likely it can get the #3 spot, but who knows. One thing to note is last week it wasn't listed, even though it had some pretty nice backlog sales going, so there's at least 80k in missing sales, though likely over 100k sales, so there's that missing. However, AC and SnK have missing sales as well, so who knows. It's just great to see Kingdom getting love, I really hope it gets another season at some point, it so deserves it.

And way to freaking go Himouto! I freaking love that series. It's so silly, so goofy, but so freaking fun, the anime was really great imo. Glad to see it's getting some love.

OPM continues to rack up backlog sales, even though none seem to be making the top 50.

Interesting that Haikyuu is on the list where AC isn't, I wonder if AC just missed the list or if the anime is driving Haikyuu but AC doesn't have the benefit of that.

It'll be an interesting next few weeks.

Meh, but as long as the boost continues to pass 100K each week till the anime ends I'm satisfied :(

I meant the overall series sales list. Haikyuu barely makes it on with 101k, but AC isn't on it, even though it has more sales of its new volume. I'm curious how much backlog AC had.

Screw another season. We need a remake. Season 1 was terrible and turned many people off with that atrocious CGI. The second season was a little better, but still shit compared to the manga.

Ballroom e Youkoso is on per with Dear Boys or Area no kishi or Baby steps?
I thought it was much minor manga compared with those.

Anyways, not too surprised.

Ouch! The gap has increased since last week. Not even counting the limited editions here.

Actually, volume 40 was released on 18th so it has been out for 8 days and volume 39 sold 391,171 copies in 9 days so the gap isn't that huge but its still better than before. Next week it'll probably sell between 55-60k copies.

The boost still isn't done yet but that might be due to the newly released volume. The backlog sales were 127,452 and increased a bit since the last known data by 16,046 copies. I'm uncertain about the #3 spot but I can definitely see it getting the 4th spot this year which would be quite an achievement.

Three weeks left and it's very close. SnK is still at the top, but Kingdom could overtake it by getting around 120k on average, which should be doable. AssClass seems the least likely to actually have a shot for third place, but considering it's probably the manga with the most unaccounted sales out of the 3, it could be the dark horse.

*7 144,394 One Punch Man (ワンパンマン)

About 3k down compared to last week, but it's still doing fine. Hopefully it gets some long lasting legs...
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

Fab to see Baby Steps still selling well, hoping S3 will come at some point. Brynhildr I am not caught up on but nevertheless fab to see it also up there. Last volume of Sekirei, guess I can read it all now.

*3. 104,862 2,761,576 One Piece Vol.76
*4. 118,650 2,647,923 One Piece Vol.79

So 79 sold more than 76 in its fourth week. That's interesting. 76 still has over 100k more copies sold though.

*1. 414,826 *,420,275 Kingdom Vol.40
*1 547,727 Kingdom

If vol.40 follows the same curve as other volumes which had 7 days accounted for their first week (like vol.37), then it will sell aroung 95k next week (90-100k). This means that it will reach 600k before leasing list which is very impressive. The backlog sales didn't really have a particularly noticeable rise even with the release of the new volume which means that Kingdom has reached saturation.

*2. 239,647 *,487,852 Nanatsu no Taizai Vol.17
*1. 245,122 *,543,609 Nanatsu no Taizai Vol.14

Vol.14 sold 50k more copies than Vol.17 in their respective first three days but only 5k more copies than it in their second weeks. This means that vol.14 is effectively leggier than vol.17 and may end up selling just as much or a little less than vol.14 when all's said and done. I wouldn't even be surprised if it sells more than the 91k that 14 sold in week 3. This is probably because the casual fans aren't in as much of a hurry to buy the newest volume as when the anime had just ended, but they haven't dropped the manga nonetheless so the sales are more gradual.

It's still surprising that after 10 days, NNT has sold only 57k more than Kingdom did in 7 days. I wonder whether Kingdom might be more frontloaded than expected.

44. *19,076 *,586,685 One Punch-Man Vol.9
*7 144,394 One Punch Man
This is more or less the same as last week which is amazing. Can't wait to see how vol.10 does in December.

You are seriously underselling SNK's boost. OPM doesn't even need to have a boost as big as HQ/TG/NNT to reach that level so let alone a SNK level boost. Not like any such thing is going to happen though.

OPM Volume 9 sold slightly better this week than last week.

Glad for Kingdom grabbing the number 1 spot, if only the anime wasnt a complete trash they couldve reached SNK level..

Haven't read the sequel to Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles yet because there are only a few chapters translated but great to see that it is selling well (first one was confusing but amazing as fuck).

Low but its getting a live action movie so if the movie is good, might boost the sales and a third season could be possible.

What are the chances for it to be licensed in english. I wanna buy volumes but can't read kanji, so I want some english releases.

Right, I totally forgot about that movie announcement.. Maybe after the movie, but I doubt it.

An english release would be fantastic.

*3 *8,199,432 Shingeki no Kyojin (進撃の巨人)
*4 *7,980,154 Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (暗殺教室)
*5 *7,859,584 Kingdom (キングダム)

Three weeks left and it's very close. SnK is still at the top, but Kingdom could overtake it by getting around 120k on average, which should be doable. AssClass seems the least likely to actually have a shot for third place, but considering it's probably the manga with the most unaccounted sales out of the 3, it could be the dark horse.

*7 144,394 One Punch Man (ワンパンマン)

About 3k down compared to last week, but it's still doing fine. Hopefully it gets some long lasting legs...

I think you forget snk has maybe 3 to 4 weeks worth of missing sales. Correct me if I'm wrong, not to mention it will have 3 more weeks worth of missing sales for the last 3 weeks. While kingdom only has 1 week of missing sales. Let's say that 1 week missing sales was 100k in back log, that would put kingdom currently at 7.9 million.

With only 3 weeks left, I believe kingdom will sell 8.3 million overall. With snk, which will have missing sales around 6 to 7 weeks, I believe it will also be at around 8.3 to 8.4 million. This is just a guess, since snk could be missing even more weeks than I thoughts. So yea its going to be close.

if only the anime wasnt a complete trash they couldve reached SNK level.
This reminds of people who thought that Avengers: Age Of Ultron could top Avatar. Why do you people always have the most outlandish expectations?

You seem knowledgeable when it come to sells, so can you tell me,.,....
What's the sales competition looking like for the week of Nov 4th, will Bleach 70 be able to pull off a #1 debut for the first time since Vol.55 back in 2012?......
Is My Hero Academia, Nisekoi, or some other series from another publisher it's biggest competition for that week.....
