[Point Game] Chess ~

Welcome to Ethereal Realm's Chess Game!



Gameplay

If you're not familiar with the rules, game or moves, please read and watch the following:
  1. Read this guide for a detailed explanation of the game.
  2. Watch this tutorial video.
    Video Lenght: 13 Minutes
    Skip to 0:22
Note: Make sure you read up on special moves like 'En Passant' and 'Castling' (for beginners).

How the game works[list][*]At the designated time, the host(s) will post a link to a randomized room of rabb.it in this thread. Members (players and spectators) will join that room and await instructions and the signal to commence.
[*]The host, will open up the RnG in the rabb.it room (so its done in front of everyone), enter player names and whoever wins the 'toss' (i.e. whoever's name comes on top of the list) will get to pick if they want to be black/white. Remember: White always starts.
[*]The host will redirect the player to 'this' website where the 'toss winner' will create a game using 'this' feature. He will then 'select his choice of color (make sure variant is set to standard and time is unlimited) and paste 'this' link in the rabb.it chat.
[*]The second player will join the room and after both players confirm that they have opened and joined the game, the host(s) will paste the link in rabb.it for the spectators.
[*]After the game ends, the host(s) will paste a screenshot of the winning side (like so) along with the RNG results in this thread.[/list]
Rules to observe
  • Players need to sign-up for this game before-hand.
  • Spectating a game is allowed, but helping any player at any time will result in penalties.
  • Taking back a played move is an in-game feature and we allow it. But that depends entirely on the discretion of both the players and complaining about it will not help you so don't lol. ('This' is how you request to take back your move, but the other player may/may not accept it. Upto them.)
  • All talking during the game will take place in rabb.it.
  • We don't count points for each pieces in our games. However, if a player disconnects during the game, total points (based on pieces sacrificed, refer to guide) will be counted and one with higher score will be announced as winner. (A 5 min waiting window will be provided and this step will be taken into action ONLY if the other player can't reconnect back!)

Point System[list][*]Players get +5 points for participating per game.
[*]Winner of any given game gets +5 points for participation and +5 for winning, resulting in a total of 10points.
[*]Any spectator found helping players will be penalized a -25 points.[/list]
