Eek total cleansweep for Lantis idols between the Love Live Blu-Ray and iDOLM@STER CD's. Both sold about the same number of copies, but what's crazy is the Love Live one was priced at 19,500 yen or about $160 USD. Charlotte has completely vanished meaning I guess we'll never know what it really sold or might have to wait till the second volume. If it turns out it sells like about half like Soundscan reported it'd be another in a long list of strangely inflated early results for Aniplex related product sales. |

Nevertheless 4 billion yen is still pretty good, and places it at a current 4th for the year, behind Shingeki no Kyojin, ONE PIECE and Nanatsu no Taizai, who are all serialised in various mainstream Shounen manga magazines. LL topping the charts, expected. So both Overlord & symphogear sold just as the stalker predicted. Also both being the only 10k vol1 seller, for now 10k for overlord, good for madhouse. (apparently MH was on the committee for overlord) I thought prison school would sell more than just 5-6k |

For those curious about the big week 2s, Oricon did not list all of the sales of the 25/9 releases last week, so they added them this week. Well, the Love Live BD-BOX contains both days of the 5th live concert, consisting of over 8 hours (Day 1 = 247 mins, Day 2 = 244 mins) of concert footage. Compare that to say a standard 1 cour anime series for around 44,000 yen and only getting like 4 to 5 hours of content, and i'd say that's pretty damn good value. Also, it isn't quite as equal footing, since as you said, Love Live BD is 19,500 yen while the Idolmaster CD is only around 2000 yen. |

Kind of thought Ushio to Tora wouldn't chart at all so I suppose this is somewhat of a good thing, don't know what Mappa would expect in terms of sales for reviving a already somewhat low popularity series from 20 years ago. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure was consistently one of the best selling manga so that one would obviously sell much better. |

Ah those corrected sales are more like it. Especially for To LOVE-Ru Darkness 2nd. Joukamachi no Dandelion performed as I expected, not great but not a disaster. Should really get around to watching Love Live! at some point, some great doujin out there but I want to see how it holds up against iDOLM@STER and Macross Frontier. Will likely just wait for MVMs BD release over here next year. *5,906 *5,906 Prison School Vol.1 Limited Edition Prison School with decent opening week sales. Does Amazon sales include this time? Amazon sales were missing for everything released the 25th of September last week. Overlord sold 8k (DVD+BD) last week. This problem was only limited to Oricon's rankings and not Soundscan's rankings that were released the next day. So basically Oricon sorted out their problem last week and this time, we got proper sales right. And someone told me Oricon won't fix their mistakes. ChocoBar9 said: Zapredon said: Anyway, hopefully by next week they sorted out the sales. They won't Oricon doesn't go back to fix their mistakes since G-Reco is still listed as selling 3.4k when it really sold over 10k for its first volume despite the fact that all the volumes that came after it is listed as selling more than it. For the time being we'll just have to use Soundscan for v1 numbers and went until v2 to see if Oricon fixed their mistake. http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1433354&show=100#msg42418826 |

But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion. http://www.classzone.com/books/lnetwork_gr08/page_build.cfm?content=analyz_media&ch=30 It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist. |

Zapredon said: Does Overlord sales this week include the Amazon sales or it because previous Oricon stats only include the first three days of the sales and now one week? It includes the corrected Oricon sales, it is not because of the "only" 4 days of sales (Overlord released on Sep 25th, but anime is usually sent out on the day before, thus Sep 24~27 = 4 days) like some were claiming last week. Again I will say that anime sales are mostly front loaded, so it doesn't matter how long it was on sale for the first week... since the majority of its sales will be in the first week unless the anime has major stock issues (such as Girls und Panzer for example in 2012). |

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure was consistently one of the best selling manga so that one would obviously sell much better. Well actually ushio to tora was pretty popular at that time. Disc sales has very week correlation with popularity among general public Usiototora is mainstream context souce so it is not surprising it have week disc sales just like naruto or detective conan or silver spoon |

Really?? |

What I find interesting is that Symphogear second season sold more than the first season, and now the third season is selling more than the second season. Last time I saw a similar trend was with Nanoha. |

The total circulation numbers for the manga are around 30 million. |
