| I'm happy to say that Monogatari is still as boring and pretentious as always. | Whats sad is once you consider how courts use the majority rule applying it to juries. Whether they are right or wrong that is what is considered right. I dont get what the bit about Eulers rule was supposed to imply. |

| Honestly, I thought the whole math exam scandal was stupid as fuck, but the mystery aspect was good enough for what it's got. |
| In this mystery, many things were lost. Ep 1. Plot: Ougi invited Koyomi for a ghost busting adventure in a strange classroom that closes off everything and never lets you leave. It was here an incident where Koyomi lost his desire for friendship and someone was gone for a long time. At the end of the mystery, Ougi reveals it was not a student committing the problem, but a symbol of righteousness: A teacher which caused everything to go wrong. And in the end, the teacher is gone and replaced by the one she drove away: Sodachi Oikura. Character: I think I feel a bit better on Ougi. She is still a mystery character but the thing is, she's trying to clear up the mysteries. I have an idea on why but it stands to reason that she might be the Final Boss. Her meddling in creating an Oddity from Koyomi from before he became a vampire had me wondering on if an Oddity could create another Oddity. We know that Oddities can adopt a new identity (Shinobu/the Cat/Hachikuji) but I don't mean like When Shinobu makes a henchman, I mean brand new Oddities. Koyomi's past is a definite heartbreaker. Nothing is worse than seeing an Authority figure that you are supposed to trust just throw one of their charges out into the fire like that. And seeing something being decided by majority and ending with it being wrong is just... well wrong. Sodachi is interesting and seeing someone genuinely hate Koyomi outside his circle is kinda refreshing. Animation/sound: Decent Black is a wonderful addition. It's mysterious, fun, and watching Ougi bust a move is neat. Her weird flirtation with Koyomi was also fun to see but definitely different from Kanbaru. 5/5. iI was satisfied with the mystery and what it could mean going forward. Owari, I like you. |

| lol I love Ougi. I didn't really get the sense from the other series, but she has basically the same personality as myself, if a bit eccentric. The fact that she leans her head towards her right side is perfect. |

| Hooray! Oikura has returned after Ararararagi solved the "incident". Glad I managed to stay focused on all the information that was brought in this episode. Ougi has some great deductive skills :) |

| A very satisfying first episode. One of the best first episodes of anime in my opinion. The hallmarks of Monogatari are all there: tons of dialogue, psychedelic backgrounds, great character interactions, head tilts, and overall cleverness. Special mention goes to Ougi. I used to dislike her back in Second Season, but after this episode that dislike has been turned into fascination. I especially like her catchphrase, it perfectly shows her manipulative side. I also like how she completely ignores Koyomi's personal space, hugging and clinging to him like a spoiled child. Last but not least, she seems very smart. Interesting character, definitely can't wait to see more of her. |

| And there a troubled teenage half-vampire puts en passant his finger on the flaws of democracy. This is why I like the Monogatari series. The 'seizure scene' was a bit much though. | Nice introductory arc but it was just that - introductory... the only interesting concept here was truth of majority and it wasn't explored as much as I would have wanted in the end. Dunno what was the point of detective themed episode when viewer certainly wasn't able to find out who the culprit is when the real culprit was served as deus ex machina by Ougi later (and only Araragi could knew that - offscreen). What's worse if this was meant as Araragi catharsis over his Sodachi's guilt it didn't work at all because Ougi did all work for him, and spoon-fed him the answer. Yeah, and it was their teacher and with her on maternity leave I know what this episode tried to emphasize but it lack impact in doing that, sadly. Also, I don't like Ougi much, whoever she is (she feels like author's alterego if you ask me). And 'zero' may imply she is beginning and end of everything as Japanese often tends to use this number. Still, I have to say that at least Hanekawa part in the end and the revelation of Sodachi coming back was nice - but even that was just a glimpse of Sodachi's real arc that's upcoming next. 5-6/10 Weakest Monogatari arc so far. |

| Wasn't as bad as I thought. Reason I held this off was because I was nervous I might hate it due to Ougi which she didn't ruin at all. Hope to see Oikura :3 |
