| Slightly above average, more or less. Somewhat tedious, lacking considerably in some ways, but has positive aspects (whether it be in regards to the art style or characters) that gives it some worthwhile redeeming quality. Generally speaking though, a 6/10 for me is a viewing experience that I'd prefer not to have. A 5/10 is purely average (in other words, a borderline waste of time), and a 7/10 means that I can see problems with it, but it was generally a pretty enjoyable viewing experience overall. |

| I'm trying to use MAL's scoring system so 5 is "average" and includes anime such as K-On! and Plastic Memories. This is not a bad rating, but it still isn't very impressive. A 6 is therefore above average and denotes a fairly decent anime. For me a 7 is a very high score (less than 10% of my ratings are a 7) and 8-10 are legendary scores (less than 10% of my ratings are 8-10). I will sometimes recommend 5s and even 4s to people so a 6 is not a bad rating at all. |

Slightly below average. 6/10, for me, is an anime that I also thought was pretty average, but had a few more pros than cons. Slightly above average. On a 1-10 rating scale the actual mean/median would be 5.5 which would be the true average score. Of course that score doesn't exist on MAL, but there isn't any anime I have watched (or movie, television show, etc.) that I have watched that I felt completely 50/50 on. So basically, a 6/10 = a slightly above average show for me. |

| A 6 for me isn't bad. It's okay - good enough for me to watch until the end, but I probably had to force myself to watch it on some parts because it was so boring. I tend to rate pretty highly (7 is average/mediocre) compared to the actual MAL rating system though. |

I feel that a 6 is a place between the boring 5's and the okay 7's to just show that it's not as bad as a 5, but it's still not even a 7 |
| They are usually anime that are just slighty above average for me. I feel these shows have for the most part wasted their potential, but they still have some enjoyable moments. I usually give a 6 to long-running battle Shounen. |

It was moderately enjoyable to watch. -I thought it was good or even great in some aspects (art, animation, music, story etc.), but it simply wasn't really my thing (could be unappealing art style, genre or setting I dislike, boring characters etc) or it had too many other flaws dragging it down. |

| Good and memorable. I use the 6-10 range for my favorite series. It's not actually that different from the rating system that mal suggest, it's just that bad, average and fine are more or less the same thing so I had to change those mid ratings to something more meaningful and balanced. |
