After the incidents in the first volume, Arata luckily was able to safely bring the children to Japan with next to no trouble, other than the knife incident at the airport. Djibril's feelings towards Arata are becoming more obvious, it'll be a matter of time until he realizes her true feelings. Nonetheless, it was pretty ironic that Sophie arrived in Japan around the same time Arata and the others did.
