 A commercial aired during the broadcast of the final episode of Arslan Senki (TV) announced that a new TV anime based on the manga series Nanatsu no Taizai (The Seven Deadly Sins) will air in 2016. The announcement does not specify whether the new series is a sequel.Nanatsu no Taizai, written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki, has been serialized in Weekly Shounen Magazine since 2012. | Looks like A-1 is going to do the same lets run 4-5 new shows every season thing again in 2016 that it's been doing for the past 2.5 years now. Yet another sequel/adaptation to add to the ever growing list for 2016 and still not much actually new franchises |

| I haven't seen the anime but I'm caught up with the manga, this is not going to be a sequel unless it's one cour. There isn't enough material for a 24 ep adaptation. |

| A-1 already sorta rushed the pacing to match the 2 cour episode count with Magi and did it with the first season of Taizai so I'm not expecting them to be able to stuff all content into another season. Hopefully great visuals still though, Taizai was beautiful. |

| It was predictable how the first anime ended, there's still many things we don't know about a lot of characters (Merlin for example. Well if like me you haven't read the manga :p). So good news ! It would be perfect if it's a sequel, i really miss Ban and Hawk. |

| First season wasn't THAT good. Didn't they kinda rush the fuck out of it? Well, maybe the lack of content they have to adapt will fix the pacing issues that held the first season back so much. It was a good show, but its rushed pacing kind of messed it up. |

| Really hoping for this to be a sequel and not a new series. I've been waiting for this news for a while now and it would suck if it didn't turn out to be what I was actually looking forward to. I just hated the fact that A-1 felt the need to rush the ending of S1 and cut out a lot of material as well. I believe the finale of S1 was partly anime-original, so idk if they'll actually be able to get back on track with the manga. If this is a sequel, then next fall is the most realistic premiere date to allow the manga an entire year to progress a little further. |
