Staff of 'Super Lovers' TV Anime Announced

Kadokawa has opened an official Twitter account for the upcoming anime adaptation of Miyuki Abe's BL manga Super Lovers. The account announced that the anime is being produced for TV broadcast, and it also introduces the main staff.

Same character designer from Hakkenden, can definitely expect good looking characters then. Can't say I'm a big fan from what I've read so far (can't get over the age gap), but I'm always in for good visuals. [s]would still rather see season 3 of Hakkenden though[/b]

Takihara didn't design for Hakkenden; she was a chief animation director. This is her first time doing character designs.

Mangaka is the same: Abe Miyuki. Maybe that's what tingy meant.

Oh haha my bad. I just saw Hakkenden next to the name and assumed she also did the character designs for Hakkenden. Thanks for the clear up. But since she worked in Hakkenden before, I would still think that Abe's style will be well translated into anime yet again, if that makes any sense.

I'd say the age gap is the typical age gap you'd find in anime (8 years or so, Ren is 16 and Haru is 24) but I feel like this is the only thing that I'm not comfortable with in the series. But Haru doesn't really do anything with Ren until he's older as far as I can remember.

Deen is no surprise. they do decent work with BL, so i have faith in them. this manga though... didn't really enjoy is personally, but bl = insta watch so.

I'm looking forward to this adaption.

I think Studio Deen redeemed itself with it's recent yaoi works.

E.g. Hybrid Child and Junjou Romantica 3. The visuals are splendid. A huge improvement if you think back to Junjou Romantica season 1.

I'm glad Deen has the yaoi monopoly.

Also Kadokawa Shoten is one of the few publishers that actually order anime shows for their mangaka's works regularly. Deen and Kadokawa are a good team. And Super Lovers is a refreshing and 'different' manga. I'm excited!

I wonder why is almost every LGBT anime are by Studio Deen? the Studio to most of these types of anime seem to be always them.

I see, yeah you're right, 8 years is honestly not bad. I guess it's because the manga starts when Ren is really young, so it me uncomfortable. I might continue to try it then :)

Try it! Super Lovers is one of the most prudish yaoi manga I've ever read.

Most people complaim about the utter lack of sex in the manga.

Fingers crossed that it'll be out before the year is over...about the age gap..well guess people just need to give the manga a chance and read as the two main characters "grow up" together at their own pace.

OH MY GOD IM LAUGHING SO HARD AT THE LAST PIC i completely forgot how bad the art was X"D I really liked DMMd (the game) so I was happy just to see it in animation... just kinda disappointed at the art LOL but Clear's episode made me happy again.

they did fine with junjou romantica s3 and hybrid child recently, so i'm hoping they do well here too

But Studio Deen didn't adapt DMMd XD So that's Deen fault. If you watch the Junjou Romantica 3, Hybrid Child and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi movie, you will see the art is neat (Thanks to Shungiku sensei)

If you watch Hakkenden, you will notice that the art is sexy and the places is so beautiful. It will be same as super lovers XD

I think it's going to be announced when the new Emerald magazine is out or when Junjou Romantica Vol.20 is out. So we will get the news at late December or Early December.
