| I see we have lots of study help but do we have anything for taking online classes? I don't learn well this way, I'd much rather be in a classroom having a teacher go over material and explain it, but I have no other choice 'cause the online class I'm taking is required. We've done an easy, hands on kind of learning project already and I felt that was very useful but now it's getting to the point where it's like "here read these articles and watch these videos and learn everything yourself" and I just don't learn that way so if anyone has any learning tips when taking online classes that'd be really nice (ಥ_ಥ) |

However, one thing I thought of was trying to find another student (or students) in the class and study together. You could take turns essentially teaching each other what you have managed to absorb from the videos/articles and together learn more than you would on your own. I seriously doubt you're the only student with this problem. It can also help to talk to your professor or TAs, whatever is available. Be honest with them, ask what resources are available to help you at your school. There usually are lots of things available that most students never know exist. (I was involved in teaching First Year Studies at my university as a peer mentor, and I was amazed over all the stuff I learned about to pass along helping the students in those classes.) Worst case, try going to the dean of students office and ask them about resources available to help students in your situation. |
